4 College Freshman

Athletics: Everyone gets in free now.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: If you like to party, be assured you can find one.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Taxis are expensive. Public transportation is full of creeps. The Orbit bus is a cute luxury, but never ride it alone.

5 College Freshman

Majors: There's a major for everyone, but it does come with cost. Be careful of you ever change your major because it may mean relocating to another side of town.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: Every race is well represented and welcomed! We have a lot of international students from China and Brazil.

4 College Junior

Nightlife: Transportation at night is good and safe

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: living on campus seems to be fun and not cost a lot

4 College Junior

Greek Life: Everyone gets along well. Nobody is left out

4 College Junior

Academics: The workload is rather a lot. More than usual

5 College Junior

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: so much stuff to do and most are able to walk to

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Phones work and there are lights everywhere

5 College Junior

Campus Strictness: It keeps the campus safe and clear of bad things

5 College Junior

Athletics: Fan support and school spirit are at all time high

2 College Junior

Weather: The over 100 degree weather is a killer sometimes.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Nobody forces anyone to do anything they don't want to here. If somebody wants to participate in the use of drugs and alcohol, then he or she will find plenty of avenues for that. If a student has no interest in drugs and alcohol, then he or she will have no trouble finding like-minded peers.

Campus Housing: I lived in Barrett, and I can say that overall I am very pleased with the housing options offered here. The rooms are spacious and well-furnished, and they are clean enough on move-in day. As good as the housing options are however, the cost is a point of contention. Furthermore, the housing process is very tedious, as getting the room layout you like with the people you would like to live with make it difficult.

Guys & Girls: People are very focused on outward appearances at this school. Girls (and guys) are often seen pretty dressed up for class. The social atmosphere at this school is somewhat cliquey, so it makes it more difficult to make friends.

College Freshman

Athletics: I have no opinion on this, but the football team manages to get ample fan support.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Transportation did not affect my life too much while living at ASU.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There are plenty of emergency phones around campus, but the unlit pathways make walking through campus at night feel unsafe. I do not see a very strong police presence on campus, so the school should work to make sure that that becomes less of a problem.

Local Atmosphere: Tempe is located right in the middle of the valley. There are plenty of things to do just in Tempe, including shopping at Tempe Marketplace, watching shows at the Tempe Center for the Arts, and taking nature walks nearby.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
