Off-Campus Housing: Extremely convenient location, great quality, pricey

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Adlephi Commons - Clean and close to campus; however sharing a bathroom between 4 individuals can be difficult.

5 College Junior

Majors: I love my program of study! The Ira Fulton School of Engineering is wonderful and truly care about the success of their students. I enjoy the expertise of my professors and the facilities that are offered to us. Also, I like the special events and opportunities extended to the engineering students. There's a sense of pride knowing you're part of something in which not just anyone can be admitted.

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere in Tempe is electric! Tempe is in the Phoenix metro area so there is always something to do. Also, Old Town Scottsdale is only a few miles away and there always events there as well. There is plenty of dining and shopping close to the campus. The local attitude toward students is great. Naturally, the businesses around campus love them. If it's nightlife you seek, look no further than Mill Ave in Tempe and Old Town Scottsdale. Also, other than ASU sporting events Phoenix also has a professional team in all four major sports.

Academics: I have enjoyed the faculty at ASU. At times there can be a language barrier with some of the professors but overall the curriculum and grading have been fair.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: I have never witnessed drug use on campus but I also have never lived on campus. I do feel ASU has a very safe campus.

4 College Junior

Academics: I feel the curriculum is fair and the facilities are great. I enjoy attending lectures from professors that are known experts in the field. Often my professor is the author of the textbook of the engineering course.

Campus Dining: The food all tastes very good. Like any college campus you get sick of the food at the dining halls, but it is still quality food. There are a decent number of alternative dining options.

Transportation: Shuttles at Arizona State are very effective, and on time. They run almost every half hour, and they take you to all three campuses. The public transportation can be a long wait, but it is very easy to catch a bus when you need one and the cost is not that bad.

5 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There is a lot to do right around the campus. Mill Avenue has great restaurants and is within walking distance from the campus. The light rail is awesome if you want to go downtown to watch the Phoenix Suns or the D-Backs.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Barrett, the honors college at ASU has an excellent academic program and I'm proud to be a part of that community. I don't know as much about ASU as a whole. The Speech and Hearing Sciences program is also excellent and I enjoy the professors and what I have learned so far.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: I really enjoy the Barrett Dining hall as well as pitchforks. I also like the variety of options available in the Memorial Union.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I feel safe most of the time as long as I stay away from people who are drinking or doing drugs...those things aren't supposed to be allowed on campus at all, but it happens, and I just try to stay away from it and generally I feel safe that way.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Not a big drug scene, and the campus police are always on patrol.

1 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Cheaper to live on campus. Once you take into account rent, utilities, a car, and all the things that go with.

2 College Freshman

Nightlife: Not a lot to do near campus unless you are over 21.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The dorms are great to live in. But if you are a freshman it is hell if you want to get away from partying.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Their is alot of diversity here at ASU. The best is for the sexual orientation.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: They are good in keeping beer and drugs off campus but if you need help at the health center you need to buy their health insurance

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: i lived on campus this year, but i heard the off campus living is first come first serve

4 College Freshman

Athletics: lots of fan support and fun actvities around ASU game day

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: There are plenty of places to go to in Tempe and activities to do. About 10 minutes from campus is one of Arizona's largest shopping malls, Arizona Mills, which offers all the shops you can think of and a IMAX theater and aquarium! And if you take the light rail heading downtown, it stops right by the Phoenix Zoo which is a hoot of a time. And of course right on campus, there is A Mountain, which is a great hike in the morning or at dusk.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Mill Avenue is North of ASU, and offers an array of restaurants and food stands. They have popular stores, such as Jimmy John's and PF Chang's, and then local college shops, such as Sparky's Creamery and American Taco Shop. There are plenty of near-by restaurants besides Mill as well, and if you go to any of them a majority of the crowd is students!

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Every Saturday there is a thing at Memorial Union called MU after Dark I think? Anyways they have events and booths there you can meet new people and be social, yadda yadda. And each of the dorms hold events throughout the week and most are at night, and they can range from hawaiian luaus to paint parties with a live DJ.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The only downfall to where I live, Hassayampa Academic Village, is that it is SO far away from every single one of my classes. They dorms themselves are pretty nice, and much more spacious then I thought. Only downfall to the room is the showers. I wish there were tubs.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
