5 College Freshman

Majors: It is very easy to get into this program because they are very accepting of everyone and give students opportunities to excel in any area of study

Greek Life: Greek life has always been an extremely great environment and has done a lot for Arizona State . With recent regulations being put on Greek life, it has started to receive a bad reputation from those viewing it on the outside.

Weather: The weather is amazing during the entire school year but the summers can be brutally hot for those who are still taking classes or staying in the area

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are restaurants and stores everywhere and most offer student discounts but they are not always healthy options

5 College Freshman

Nightlife: We have an entire street meant for bar hopping and clubs. There is always a large amount of parties going on that are in walking distance that are filled with very welcoming people and good times

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Some places are better than others in cleanliness and amenities but it is an all-around great place to be

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There is always something new to try or places to see

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There is a high rate of crime on campus, especially with drugs and assault

3 College Freshman

Diversity: There is a general acceptance of the college but the benefits given to those who are minorities is better than the vast majority causing some problems

Transportation: The campus shuttles are very nice- clean, open (not cramped), come with Wi-Fi, and have mostly nice drivers. They're free and you don't even have to show your ID to get on.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Filing for financial aid was easy- remember to file a FAFSA and look at the scholarship portal on ASU for more help.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I like most of my classes- the Biology class is set up a little odd, but the faculty do care and will try to help you out if you're struggling.

College Freshman

Campus Housing: I live at home, so I am not totally sure of what campus housing is like.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There is a lot to do in Tempe. You may need to travel a little but you can find things to do.

College Freshman

Athletics: I am not really into the sports side of campus.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I live at home so I am not sure what the off-campus housing is really like.

3 College Freshman

Weather: Your view of the weather really depends on what you're used to. During the summer/fall time, it is HOT (but you should expect that coming to Arizona). The winters are relatively okay- the lowest that it really gets is in the 50's.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: There are many different types of people on campus and no one seems to be particularly harassed. Sometimes there are outside sources that like to preach about pretty much everyone going to hell, but everyone ignores them.

5 College Junior

Athletics: There is a huge amount of fan support and school spirit which is definitely visible during home football games

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: There is always something to do, and with great weather year round there is always something to do outdoors

4 College Junior

Diversity: There are people from all walks of life at asu which enhances the learning experience

Off-Campus Dining: the school is surrounded with almost anything you can think of

4 College Junior

Computers: the wifi is pretty good on campus but blackboard has been prone to problems

5 College Junior

Majors: while my biological sciences major has been difficult I like it a lot and think it is preparing me well for either medical school or pharmacy school

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
