Campus Dining: The dining halls don't have the greatest food, but there are plenty of enjoyable fast food places in the union.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: okay choices nothing great, its just not very diversity.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Light rail is great. Everything else is not. the orbit shuttle is free but goes extremely slow and there are too many drug addicts and homeless people that ride the orbit.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: The only reason I'm at ASU is for Sustainability. We have one of the best if not the best Sustainability Education programs in the country.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Tempe is fun but only a few mile radius by the school. Once you leave that area it won;t be too much fun. Cops are very strict over here, so if you like being reckless, I don't recommend doing it here.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Arizona State is one of those schools that have a reputation for a party school but actually have some great programs. For example, the School of Sustainability and W.P. Carey School are great colleges within ASU. Some of the best professors teach i this school. On the other hand, if you're major doesn't stick out at ASU, I recommend you attend a different university.

5 College Sophomore

Computers: The library is open 24 hours and the computer labs are open the majority of the time. Printing is free at the computer labs but not at the library. The network is usually very reliable and fast. The wireless internet is great and available almost everywhere on campus. If you do not have a personal computer you will definitely be able to survive and do well in your classes. I do not have a computer and the computer lab and library was a great resource to have.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: ASU told me everything that I needed for financial aid and the process went rather smoothly. On the My ASU page, it lists everything you need to get done in order to be ready for classes/ASU. It was a very helpful and beneficial tool.

Guys & Girls: ASU's Downtown Phoenix campus has 70:30 girl to guy ratio, and the diversity isn't all that great.

Off-Campus Housing: At the Downtown Phoenix ASU campus, off-campus housing is becoming less of a hassle. There aren't very many choices and the more affordable options are far from campus and not in the safest neighborhoods.

4 College Freshman

Computers: Plenty of computers all across campus and occasionally, there is free printing in some labs and campuses.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: In grad school we obtain a lounge for us to hang out and meet new people. We can also eat and relax from the stress of school.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I've finished my bachelors in Anthropology and I would do it again. The courses they provided were very vigorous but also interesting if possible I would redo it again and check out other classes they have especially Classical Greek courses.

College Sophomore

Majors: I have not done an internship but I am interested in applying for one. I've talked to my adviser and she recommended me to look into the city of Phoenix for any possible opportunities. I suggest talk to your adviser or a career service adviser to help you out in finding a good internship that relates to your career.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: My program is public administration and it is vigorous so the students have to be on top their readings and assignments. Since Im doing my masters in this field its easier because it only pertains to my major and I do not have to take classes to do not consist with my degree.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: It is extremely easy to meet new people from all over the world, not just from the United States. Diversity is welcomed with open arms and people are comfortable with their own backgrounds around others.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Athletics are great for everyone to participate in and it brings the students together. Coaches could be better.

College Freshman

Majors: I am not concerned about finding a job. My goal is to become a doctor and open up my own practice. I'm very happy with being in Biological Sciences its helping prepare me for med school.

College Freshman

Majors: I've never had an internship. But i think it would be very useful and helpful for me. Typically one can sit at a desk or have an hands on internship. I do have some concerns because I don't know how hard it will be to find a Medical internship.

4 Recent Alumnus

Nightlife: The Nightlife is for students who are 21 and older. There are a lot of house parties around campus though for students who are underage and not able to get into the bars on Mill Avenue. Mill Avenue has a variety of different bars you can bar hop to. If you like more of the club scene, Old Town has tons of different bars and clubs you can dance at about 10-15 minutes away.

3 Recent Alumnus

Transportation: Transportation is good at Arizona State University if you are going to class early or are not running late. The buses make a stop around about every 10-15 minutes. They are free to all ASU students. We also have the lightrail to take you to the ASU downtown campus or to different stops around Tempe. It isn't too expensive for a ticket either.

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: I received a decent amount of financial aid, but it was hard to get and it did not cover nearly as much as I needed it to.

2 College Freshman

Greek Life: The greek life at our school is slowly declining and majorly overrated if you ask me. It's basiccally buying friends and it takes up a lot of time that interferes with your academics.

3 College Freshman

Academics: A lot of the people fail out of ASU. We have a very low graduation rate. Some of the professors are decent while others can barely speak English.

2 College Freshman

Academics: Being a biological sciences major at my school is tough and no one actually warned me or helped me realize how hard it would be before I picked it.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
