Health & Safety: Campus police are not always easy to find, but when they are nearby they can be very helpful. They're always keeping track of what's taking place on campus - just because you can't see them doesn't mean they can't see you - most commonly at sporting events/venues. They are very strict about substance abuse policies, especially around the dorms. However, they're not perfect and it would be a good idea make sure your door/window is closed at most anytime because you never know the kinds of drunk idiots/prowlers who may be lurking.

Weather: Most of the year, it is way too hot. However, there are some cool days, such as when the cold fronts move through and bring some much needed rain w/out having to come from a thunderstorm. In the same way, the monsoon brings a few days that aren't super hot and produce some awesome thunderstorms w/ loads of rain (every once in a while). It's tough for students to have a conversation outside when you're constantly sweating just standing around. On the plus side, we do reach cool enough temperatures which require the wear of winter jackets.

Off-Campus Dining: There are so many restaurant and fast food options on and around campus. I have never lived in an area where I could pick from so many types of food. The prices vary, but most places are rather affordable and student friendly.

5 College Senior

Transportation: Public transportation is easily accessible at Arizona State. Whether it be the light rail, a taxi, or a bus there is always a way to find your way back to where to need to go. All are rather cheap options too!

Off-Campus Housing: There are so many options on and off of campus. Apartment buildings are just popping up all around Tempe which has made picking a place very hard. You wouldn't believe you were in a college town if you had seen these apartments online. ASU students have the best selection BY FAR of any college campus I've ever seen.

Drug Safety: ASU was known as the numbre one party school in America. In recent times, the campus as shut down frat houses on campus and turned into a dry campus. Moreover, it is also a smoke-free as of early August 2013 Therefore, anyone being caught with alcohol can be fine and hauled to jail depending on the severity of the crime.

Parking: Parking is super expensive. For being an out of state student, the expenses there and then parking on top of it? Also for game day is even worse. The best for ASU is to learn how to ride a bike and get around the city in that fashion.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Honestly, in today's day and age more and more people are being accepted for whom they are. So far in my experience with college I have not witness any mean gestures nor non acceptance because of race, religion, political vies or sexual orientation.

Health & Safety: At ASU there is never a time where you are the only one out. There are always students up and studying. Furthermore, every few feet there are signals to where you feel you are being watched you can press the signal and the security can follow your pathing and eventually catch up to you to escort you. Secondly there is a shuttle that will drive you from your dorm to a certain location at night. Lastly, there is the Tempe police station near by if needed.

4 College Junior

Majors: I have not done an internship yet but I plan on doing one. They are easy to find especially if you are in a club related to a certain field. There is also a career center to help students work on their resumes and find job and internship opportunities.

Academics: The business school is very good at ASU. The professors are great and very into what they teach. I have really enjoyed being a part of WPC.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: You get to choose what scene you want to be a part of. You can drink every night or you can never drink and still fit in fine.

1 College Junior

Campus Strictness: ASU police is very strict and go out of there way to find underage drinkers. There is not medical amnesty policy, so even if you are getting help for a friend you will probably find yourself in trouble as well. During the day time you need to watch out for riding your bike on the side walk or J walking, they love to write those tickets as well.

Academics: I have loved W. P. Carey and I think that it is a great business school.

3 College Senior

Majors: My program at school is okay you learn mostly about the history of design and marketing. I would enjoy it more if the program had more than one year of studio that way students can be more familiar with designing hands on.

3 College Senior

Academics: My major Design Studies allows you to study a specific aspect of design from architecture, interior and graphic design and more. The workload is not very heavy since most of the classes taken are lecture classes

4 College Senior

Academics: The professors are very educated and care about their students being successful

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: There are all sorts of guy and girls from different parts of the country and globe.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: Filing the correct documents for financial aid was pretty easy and simple, but receiving enough financial is hard, sometimes they will not give you enough aid to cover cost of attendance, which is way some students go and ask for a loan amount increase. To in order to get financial aid fill out the fafsa and send it to your school from there the education department will determine your financial need. Make sure to fill the fafsa out early so you can get a response early then go from there

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: safety escort system takes people to the library at night!

3 College Senior

Campus Strictness: cops are always looking for MICs, but RA's and dorm life is pretty flexible

5 College Senior

Diversity: largest student body in the country, diversity is definitely welcomed and encouraged, faculty also diverse!

4 College Junior

Academics: I am just now starting at ASU after completing my AS degree at a community college so I dont have many experiences on campus. However from the people I met they staff seems very knowledgeable and knows what they are doing.

4 College Junior

Nightlife: There is a large selection of things to do. The weather helps to promote this year round. If you are under 21 though, your options are severely limited.

Transportation: Bus systems and light rail are convenient. The walking/bike traffic is not too bad. It's the summer months and heat that makes it difficult.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
