Weather: Phoenix Sunshine...'Nuff Said – The weather in the Valley is gorgeous. It's warm all winter and outdoor activities are available all but a few days during the schoolyear. When it does rain, people go outside to dance in it because it is such a rare and exciting occasion. When the temperature hits the sixties, we all pull out our scarves and winter boots to wear with our t-shirts. It's the most beauitful place to go to school!

Off-Campus Dining: So Many Options! Arizona Christian University is close to many of the great and unique dining places in Phoenix. From authentic ethnic restaurants, to streetside cafes and every fast-food place out there, you'll never have to look hard for a good place to eat.

Drug Safety: If It's Happening, It's Underground – There are strict no-drugs/no-drinking/no-smoking rules on-campus, so it is very controlled. I know some of these activities still take place, but when they are discovered, disciplinary action is taken and the students involved are provided with faculty accountability to stop these habits.

Local Atmosphere: Nice community with lots of different stores to go to

4 College Junior

Academics: I would say it is really cool to have suitemates that have the same major. Im excited.

4 College Junior

Facilities: there are quite a few places to go and do homework, but most of the time they are very packed because of the amount of students on campus. One downfall is that the library could use a face lift.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: the off-campus housing is very minimal, but there are apartment complexes right across/next to the school. I would definitely recommend the dorms on campus though.

5 College Junior

Campus Housing: The dorms are definitely a great plus to this school! Very modern. Very clean. It was a enjoyable experience.

5 College Junior

Nightlife: There are a lot of options to do at night. Such as hall events, hanging out with friends etc.

Overall Experience: IT has been the best experience for me1 I love the enviornment1

Guys & Girls: Decent Group of Students – This school is known for students getting married. Everyone is friendly and a good group of people. There are a good group of attractive people here who are mostly the athletes. But since it is a Christian School, there is more modesty involved. The social life can be a bit boring since there is only neighborhood surrounding the area but if one meets the right people, there is always fun around the corner.

Computers: The internet is always having problems. The Wifi is almost never working. There are only about 10 computers in the computer lab, so finals time is really hard. We have a computer lab upstairs, but there are also classes going on.

2 College Junior

Diversity: This Is a Christian School – This is a Christian university, so if there are different orientations, beliefs, political stands, it causes a lot of tension between people as well as gossip.

3 College Junior

Academics: Teachers Care – Right now, I'm at Arizona Christian University, but I am transferring to Grand Canyon next semester. However, at ACU, since the classes are relatively small, a student will really feel like the teacher cares about him/ her and his/ her future. It is nice being able to simply email the teachers when in need, or to be able to talk to them after class.

3 College Junior

Academics: Christian Ministries – I just changed my major to Christian Ministries, but I know the teachers, and they are very intelligent in their studies.

5 College Freshman

Academics: Good Education – The classes are thought provoking and really help students strive to impact the future very positively with information learned.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Safe and Sound – Great protection not a good fitness center though. small gym.

5 College Student

Computers: Many to Use – There are many computers to use at Arizona Christian University, quantity is not the problem. The only thing that could be improved is the quality of the software on the computers themselves.

4 College Student

Local Atmosphere: Small Town Feel – College feels like a small community in a big city

4 College Freshman

Weather: The weather in Phoenix is great for most of the school year. The summers are a little rough, but fall, winter, and spring is next to perfect!

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: It is somewhat difficult to live off campus at ACU because it is hard to convince the staff to allow it. They want to protect their students in any way possible; however, there is a large portion of the student body that does not live on campus for a number of reasons.

5 College Junior

Facilities: ACU is a place where students can come and develop among peers in a positive and uplifting manner. I personally know many members of the student body. As a matter of fact, as I'm sitting in the library I've had a minimum of 20 students walk that I know on a personal level. The genuine nature of my classmates is refreshing. Being a part of leadership now, we are striving to build up community in a way never-before seen.

4 College Junior

Parking: The parking lot is pretty much always full, but there is no need to park close to a building or drive around looking for class, as our school is a total of five buildings. It's very practical.

Local Atmosphere: Paradise Valley: Reality? I have lived in Arizona all my life. I have had the priviledge of experiencing many of the smaller cites within the greater Phoenix area. The school that I attend is located at the boarder of Phoenix and Paradise Valley, Arizona. Located in such an area can be of both convenience and inconvenience. Just to the west of our lovely little school there are "mountains", or as most out-of-state people would call them, giant hills. Paradise Valley Mall is located to the east of us, but requires a minor drive. Although we live in a huge city with so many attractions to choose from, they are not necessarily located nearby for vibrant college life. In order to enjoy everything Arizona offers, such as the downtown museums and sports complexes, much planning, preparation, and money are required.

Campus Strictness: Strictness Is Quite Ridiculous – The school is pretty strict. We have a slight dress code for the length of shorts and spaghetti straps. The dorms are closed to opposite sexes, unless its one of the 4 nights in the week it's open from 6pm-10pm. They are not lenient whatsoever on skipping classes. If you miss 4 in one class, it is an automatic letter drop off your grade.
