Campus Dining: The people in the Chat are friendly and the food is fine. Even though the panini machine is broken half of the time. The dinning hall food is best on days when a tour is coming through but otherwise it is no different than any other college cafeteria.

Transportation: There is no transportation because the campus is minuscule and you can walk from one side of campus to the next in 5 minutes. However they have zip cars now for rental, and those are ridiculously expensive. Also, freshman can't have cars on campus except certain circumstances.

2 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The health center is almost always closed. It is closed on weekends, so god forbid you get sick on a weekend you are out of luck. The good thing is they have cheap/free STD testing and shots available. However, I always feel safe on campus! It's too small to feel unsafe because there are safety officers EVERYWHERE.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: Things are great, but sometimes they get a little bit redundant.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: All of these are top-of-the-line, welcoming places.

3 College Junior

Weather: It's beautiful in the spring and fall but gets really cold in the winter and makes it hard to walk to campus. But we have a beautiful campus

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: The drug scene isnt bad. There are many people that do drugs

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Financial aid is very helpful. They do everything they can to get you as much money as possible.

Nightlife: Near Arcadia Universtity there are a few 21+ bars that are within walking distance of the campus but even more within driving distance. As far as underage nightlife many students take the train into Philadelphia over the weekends to have a little fun. In the city there is plenty of things to do but in the towns around Arcadia University, they are fairly quiet.

Local Atmosphere: Around Arcadia University, the surrounding towns are Glendside, Keswick, and Cheltenham. These towns include restaurants, malls, stores like Walmart and Target, as well as thrift shops and quaint cafes. Also in the town of Glenside there is a market that takes place every Saturday morning. The towns are relatively small and give off a nice small town feel; however if your more interested in cities, Philadelphia is a short drive/train ride away.

Athletics: Arcadia University is currently trying to build up the athletic facilities and teams in order to get our name out there in the sports community. Fan support has been growing over the past two years I have been here but we are still not there yet. Many of the teams are still not up to par, meaning they do not win many of the games or matches they play, but there has been a significant increase from last year since they brought in new strength and conditioning trainers.

Parking: Impossible to get a spot during the day. At night, however, it is much easier.

3 College Freshman

Computers: Always available. The technology here is very up-to-par. We have both PCs and Macs available.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: They are always present; however, unless it is an emergency, campus safety is very difficult to get a hold of.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There is a lot available; however, most places are pricey.

Campus Dining: The places around campus are very limited. You have three options: the Dining Hall, The Chat, or the Easton Cafe. After the first month, I got very sick of the food.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I personally have had an on-going battle with Financial Aid. The main suggestion my school had for dealing with the lack of aid is write a hardship letter. That hasn't really worked well for me. My school does help in just the nick of time, sometimes. I'm just hoping I get through the next four years.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There is such a good mix of students here it diversifies the campus. Although there are more girls than boys, the campus still feels like any other college. There is a nice range of people.

3 College Senior

Computers: not enough lab computers at peak times and if you have a laptop, the wireless is not consistent

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The professors are wonderful. This is my second year here and so far I have only had one professor that I thought was sub-par.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: Good, my first year the winter was very mild but even if it's raining or snowing the campus is small so getting to classes isn't that big of a deal. Everything is within a 10 minute walk.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: The school is pretty generous, although many students still pay more than is reasonable. You can appeal for more financial aid, but you aren't guaranteed much success. The financial aid office is pretty helpful.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: The meals are overpriced for the quality, but the taste is not terrible. There aren't many ethnic/kosher/vegetarian/vegan options and the menu is pretty standard and Americanized. There are great local restaurants though.

5 College Junior

Computers: Arcadia is a commuter school, so most of the campus is commuter friendly. clubs are held in the evening usually or very late at night, so commuters might have trouble with that. Also, a personal computer is very helpful as the library and computer labs get very crowded

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: If you want to find students who use drugs often, you can, but it is just as easy to avoid the drug scene

Grey Towers Castle
Grey Towers Castle
Grey Towers Castle Grey Towers Castle Arcadia's Grey Towers Castle is possibly the University's most unique and special building. The castle was built in the late 19th century and has been declared a historic landmark. Freshmen can dorm in the castle, and many events and activities take place there, as well.

Arcadia has a great close-knit community of students that makes everyone feel very welcome. It is a great University for personalized attention, with professors who are all very helpful and knowledgeable in their areas and work well with students. In addition to their dedication, most professors have the highest level of recognized achievement in their fields, so they know what they are talking about. Outside of classroom activities and involvement, there are also many study abroad opportunities, where students can meet people from all over the world.

The best way to have an amazing experience is to get involved right away. While some feel that Arcadia does not offer much in the way of partying or crazy nightlife, it has other perks, including its small community of people passionate about what they are doing. Get involved, talk to people, and you'll have a great college experience.
