3 College Freshman

Transportation: The walk to the train isn't awful in good weather. Zip Cars are available too.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Multiple swipe in doors make it difficult to enter the dorms without id. Call boxes are available on campus.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: There really aren't a lot of things to do. There are a few shops, but they get old fast.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: The diversity here is pretty standard. It could be better, but it could also be a lot worse.

Overall Experience: I transferred into Arcadia after completing a 2 year degree program at another school, and transferring to Arcadia was one of my worst college experiences, and I've had plenty of others. Unless you're a first year student they didn't really seem to care about you, study abroad options are basically extinct and that's what Arcadia's reputation is built on. I had trouble leaving housing because I was a transfer student too. There is never anything really going on on the weekends, so they can get pretty boring unless you're at home. Tuition is insane! $47,770 to live there for a year, before books and additional expenses is just ridiculous! If I could go back in time, I would have transferred to a different school.

Parking: Parking wasn't bad if you were looking for a spot later in the day, I lived in Knight so I wanted to be parked there, but that lot fills up fast, and if you're not parked there you're probably parked in another zip code!

Campus Housing: When I lived on campus I lived in Knight which was a pretty nice setup with a lounge/kitchen and a laundry room on every floor, and suite style housing was pretty sweet. Getting maintenance done was another story, it took us over a month to get on of our toilets fixed.

Computers: The library has a nice setup with Macs and PCs in the basement and PCs on the first floor, but the technology associated with the computers is awful. Half on the computers aren't hooked up to the correct printer so you can never just log in and print without it taking a half hour, and something is always wrong with the printers, it's such a hassle.

Campus Dining: For the cost of tuition being so high you'd think they'd at least serve edible food. You can go to the Dining Hall or the Chat with your meal plan, and the Chat is the place to go, the food there gets old quick though.

Health & Safety: There is not a lot of crime on campus. There has been one major incident since I have been going there for 3 years. After this incident more cameras were installed. Campus security is always around and there are emergency phones placed everyone around campus. I feel very safe on campus.

Campus Housing: I do not live on Campus, but most of my friends do. The dorms can be on the actual campus or across the street in an apartment complex the school bought. It is a short walk from the apartments to classes. Also, a special few students get to stay in the castle which the campus is famous for. Most people seem to enjoy living on campus. The cost is about an additional 10K added to the tutition. There are a lot of activities planned for those who live on campus to keep things fun and interesting!

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: The Campus is conveniently located near bus (literally just outside the campus entrance) and train station which is a. couple blocks away.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I am in the College of Global Studies and I think that being at Arcadia where there is an excellent study abroad program gives me an edge.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Arcadia's School of studies is good because to the faculty to student ratio.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The campus is small and there aren't any problems that I've noticed.

3 College Junior

Computers: The computer labs are crowded and the internet is spotty and goes out sometimes. When the internet or electricity does go out it seems to take a long time to get it fixed.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: You have to take a course on drug and alcohol safety before each semester which goes very in depth.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The police are very strict, so don't be stupid about things that you obviously shouldn't be doing. In short, just think before you do something.

5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: There is always something to do if you go to the right places. The parks are beautiful, and walking around Glenside is something that can be very peaceful at the right time of day.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Off-campus dining is very convenient. There is a McDonalds and Wendy's right down the street as well as Dunkin Doughnuts and Seven Eleven. As for restaurant type places, we have a diner across the street from the campus and a local tavern/restaurant on top of a Chili's that is in the opposite direction of that.

Majors: You must do well in the science subjects to get into PT

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The tuition is pretty expensive and the Food is terrible. I can't wait to get home to have real food. All the kids complain about it. For the money we are paying they should be ashamed.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I was really disappointed in the amount of aid the school gave me.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: The facilities to receive tutoring is very good. The food is the only thing that's not all that great

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Guys and girls hang out with people similar to themselves. Like the party kids hang out with the party kids, the athletes hang out with mostly athletes, etc.

Grey Towers Castle
Grey Towers Castle
Grey Towers Castle Grey Towers Castle Arcadia's Grey Towers Castle is possibly the University's most unique and special building. The castle was built in the late 19th century and has been declared a historic landmark. Freshmen can dorm in the castle, and many events and activities take place there, as well.

Arcadia has a great close-knit community of students that makes everyone feel very welcome. It is a great University for personalized attention, with professors who are all very helpful and knowledgeable in their areas and work well with students. In addition to their dedication, most professors have the highest level of recognized achievement in their fields, so they know what they are talking about. Outside of classroom activities and involvement, there are also many study abroad opportunities, where students can meet people from all over the world.

The best way to have an amazing experience is to get involved right away. While some feel that Arcadia does not offer much in the way of partying or crazy nightlife, it has other perks, including its small community of people passionate about what they are doing. Get involved, talk to people, and you'll have a great college experience.
