4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Love the mountain college town!

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: There are tons of places to eat and I hear that Boone is going to be adding a few more restaurants. The scenery is beautiful, especially in the Fall when the leaves change. The parkway is close by so that is a gorgeous scenic drive. There's places to go hiking also. There's some decent shopping, nothing like Charlotte or Winston-Salem though. There's plenty to do for college students.

5 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: I love, love, love the area. It is small enough to feel homey, but there is plenty to do. It is not far to drive to a few bigger cities if you want to do that too. The mountains are beautiful, the scenery can't be beat, and the local people are great! Professors care about students, the administration does what it needs to do to keep things running smoothly, and it's just an all-around great place to be.

5 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Boone is busy and big enough to find all kinds of things to do off and on campus, yet still small enough to not feel over whelmed. Being a college female, I don't feel threatened when I go out. It's easy to fill my weekends with friends and activities.

5 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Everyone is so welcoming and kind.
