Campus Resources: I have talked to many people while being here, and most people are very friendly and fun to talk to. A very diverse group of people, not as in ethnicity, but in the sense of art, music, theatre, science heads etc.

Overall Experience: Pretty Happy So Far – Im am enjoying my experience as a college freshman, the classes are great, professors very kind able to work with and the work load is manageable. I am looking forward to continuing my education and achieving my goal in the least amounty of time possible.

Academic Experience: Not Into Many Nursing Classes Yet – Still taking my generals, but many of my classmates are aspiring to do the nursing program as i am and are very excited. Cant wait to join as well and be hands on. My claases now are great and i am loving being a college student.

Academic Flexibility: Rate Review – The flexibility for this school isn't that great, because they don't offer many classes that meets with the students' schedule. For example, Math 125 may only be available at a particular time on Tuesdays and Thursdays 7p-10p. With no other class times available it makes it harder for other students who cannot meet this time.

Campus Resources: School Spirit – When we have what we call "Club Day" there are always different clubs that you can turn to for help or guidence. They are always friendly.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: This campus is not bad at all. Probably one of the nicer community college campuses in Southern California. Athletic fields are brand new and in perfect condition. Older buildings are a little dirty. Library is pretty nice. The new health and science buildings are not finished yet but they are pretty good looking buildings. Theater is brand new and is very nice. Its nice to see the solar panels over the parking areas.
The Professors are pretty chill. The curriculum is just as challenging as any other college. Classes are relatively easy to get into, as long as you plan ahead and talk to a counselor once a semester.
This is a very diverse campus. The students don't just vary in race but also in age. I am only 19 so sitting next to a 50 or even 60 year old in the library or in one of my classes is different, but that probably has a lot to do with the economic situation.
Administration... I have no idea who runs this place. Never seen a face or heard a name.
Overall, I give the campus a B+ because it is obviously not perfect. There are like 10 people with school spirit. The maintenance is lacking a bit. But the newer parts of campus are really quite nice. I heard the new health and science building is going to have a Subway restaurant in it! That's kind of exciting.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Learning Styles – I wish more professors are considering that not every one of their students have the same learning style. We all learn differently, and I hope that more of my instructors try to teach in different ways that engage us students and help is learn more effectively.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: No Problems – I've applied for financial aid for the first time a few months ago, and it's still being processed. I'm not really sure what to expect. As for the educational experience, it's not bad at all. It differs with each teacher. Some are more engaging and passionate about their subjects more than others.

2 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Hard to Get Classes That You Need – It's an okay school, but they don't have a lot to offer. It's been a up and down roller coaster ride with them. There aren't really any good school functions or any that i have noticed so I can't really comment on that.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Afraid of Money – The money granted to me was what I needed if not for the free bill I get to live in a house for free. It filled my books and eating habits, of course, I may have gone overboard. I was afraid of not getting enough money so I can be able to live in a dorm in CSUN and I still don't understand how it goes.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Luckily Close – I would have loved to go somewhere else to live but reasons have me at a disadvantage to attend to the closest college. But overall, my first college experience has been well and I await for my next semester to begin. But the moment in when I transfer will be the greatest day ever.

Online Courses: Sometimes Progress Is Not Progress – Online classes are ineffectual for teaching purposes, and only offer conveinence and a save on gas. The drawback is there is no face time with the teacher, the classes are larger, and if you don't understand something good luck! There is more homework and if you work full time it is very difficult to keep up.

Campus Resources: Video/Graphics Program – Antelope Valley college has an excellent Video program. Their MAC computers are top of the line, and the teachers have alot of experience in their fields. If you want to get into computer graphics or video editing I highly recommend this school.

5 College Student

Campus Resources: Computer Labs – the computer lab is great, there are plenty of computers and fast pace internet.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Good I Guess – just hard to get some classes you need because of cutbacks and some people choosing anything

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Coould Be Better – seems like all the classes for my specific degree are all at night should be some for different times

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: We Are the Best – Antelope Valley College has the best Deaf Studies program in the state of California.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: school is really great i meet alot of new friends and also some old ones. the teachers are really good learners and also the tutors there.

Overall Experience: My School Experince – school has been a great experince meeting new friends and also teachers. even through the classes are hard the teachers are always there to help .

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Antelope Valley College's tuition and financial aid process is fast and simple. The value of the education I'm receiving is worth the tuition I paid. The financial aid office at my school is very helpful and makes the process quick and easy.

1 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Availability of Courses – The biggest problem with this school is the unavailability of classes, due to budget cuts among man other factors. I've encountered many students who have attended this community college for three to five years because they have been unable to register for a particular class and that is keeping them from transferring. This school needs more classes and it needs to improve its policy on priority registration.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Temporary School – I am currently attending Antelope Valley College and hoping to transfer to a four-year University. I haven't really attended any school events or school's functions. I am here to complete my basics and work hard to get in the Honors program so I can transfer soon.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Good Network Access – The computer network isn't the best but it gets the job done, there are plenty of computer labs on campus and it really isn't necessary to have a personal computer because there are plenty on campus. It is up to the students to take advantage of it though.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: Online Work – I really like the math work program they have on the internet.
