Campus Resources: Good Access to All Resources – As far as I'm concerned, the campus resources are all up to par. I don't use the campus computer in high frequency, however from what I have seen, the students have easy access to computers in the lab despite the overcrowded campus.

Academic Experience: Difficult to Get in the Program – My major, Registered Nursing, is a highly popular choice of major at AVC. This makes it very competitive when it comes to applying for and gaining entry into the nursing program. However, if you are able to get into the program you will have entered a great situation as AVC, I'm told, has one of the best community college nursing programs in California.

Academic Experience: Professors and Curriculum Nothing Special – In terms of the professors, out of my own experiences, they typically do not invest much interest in their students. The majority of them don't appear to care whether or not the students pass or fail just as long as they receive payment for their time. Only on one occasion did I have a professor that invested the time and effort to ensure that a student gives their best effort to receive a passing grade, while at the same time having ensured that the students learn enough in the class that they may use what they had learned in real life situations. As for the curriculum, it is lackluster and does not seem to force the students to learn the material, instead students need only memorize the material momentarily for tests and other assignments.

Campus Resources: Different Reasons – The network at my school goes down sometimes and often they don't have enough computers for everybody and you have to wait. Also, they charge you to make copies.

Student Body: Large Variety of People – At my school, there are many different types of people. A lot of freshman straight from high school, or just people who came from a high school in the valley. There are also those older people looking to get more education to better their life.

Campus Resources: The campus has everything we need with many places to get the help one needs. It is a great and resourceful community.

Career Services: The career center is a great help and although it is at times difficult to get some attention because it is so busy, when you do get to the front of the line you get immense and supportive help.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Very Very Nice – the tuition is very cheap and financial aid tends to cover all classes and books

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Engineering Classes Limited – As a student seeking a bachelors degree I have an easy time finding general Ed classes but major specific courses are a lot harder to get into or don't exist because this is just a community college.

Academic Flexibility: Not Many Classes – My school has so many people trying to attend certain classes that if u are not on the priority enrollment list you probably will not get into the classes that you need. this semester I am taking pretty random classes so that nest semester i will be priority.

Campus Resources: Medical Center – They are opening a new medical clinic for students. i think this is awesome for people who do not have insurance. Yet they are making every student pay a $19 fee with enrollment. I have insurance and a good doctor I like so I will not use this service and do not think i should have to pay.

Campus Resources: There is always a huge line at financial aid. Sometimes they only have one person working there when there should always be three.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The price of the classes and tuition are going up but we are getting money for financial aid. How do they expect for us to go to school is we don't get the right amount funds we need. Many people aren't lucky as other people that they are to pay there expenses because of there parents having money.

Career Services: Time Schedules – The time schedules are so dumb because people aren't able to get into a class because some classes crash with other so the student has to make the option on picking one or the other. It be better if they separated the times or at least put the classes where it can benefit everybody.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: College Resources – I give high marks to all the available resources. Certainly not lacking in that area.

3 College Senior

Career Services: Career Center – Good overall except no aviation or aerospace referrals.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: College Resources – I found that the college resources are invaluable and have taken advantage of them frequently.

Academic Experience: Excellent instructors. Two students per computer. Excellent departmental resources.

Academic Experience: Very Enjoyable Learning Experience. All the instructors in my major are highly knowledgeable.

Online Courses: could have gotten an A if only i would have given a presentation. oh well.

Academic Experience: English 101 – teacher was very vague about work. She never gave clear information on what she requires.

Campus Resources: Very Well Organized – The resources at Antelope Valley College are very organized; everything is easy to find and there is a help desk for almost any problem you'd have.

College Junior

Academic Experience: Haven't Started Yet – I haven't started any actual schooling yet; I'm a college freshman, just graduated from high school

Overall Experience: Some People Need to Learn to Be Nicer – I'm new to this school but I've already had some issues with it. Whenever I'd call or come in and get information on something, nine out of ten times the person was extremely rude and hostile about whatever I needed help with. The school also had me do all of this work to be able to get financial aid eligibility just to find out I wasn't even qualified for financial aid. Their organization is the only thing thatmakes this school bareable so far.

College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Just Starting – I am just starting at the school as a college freshman so I don't really have much experience to go off of.
