Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial aid has helped me not only in the moment, but in the long run. Qualifying for financial aid has opened up so many doors for me. I get priority registeration in which allows me to register into the toughest classes at school which makes it easy to finish school.

Academic Flexibility: I do not take very many classes, but from my experiences, I have been fairly successful when registering for classes that fit around my schedule.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: I have had wonderful instructors every semester that loved what they taught and made me like it as well.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Most teachers are flexible with hard working students.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: I find that the academics can be challenging but if you're determined to do well and use campus resources you should be fine. I have learned a lot from all my instructors. Always strive to be the best at whatever you do, not just academics and athletics.

Campus Resources: Absolutely loved the pool, learning center, library, computer labs, financial aid office, admissions, counseling office, transfer center, career center, and the Fox Field and Palmdale facilities.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: I think the entire faculty and staff at AVC are outstanding. I have utilized all the major resource facilities at the college and have nothing but praise for everyone. I truly enjoy attending AVC and look forward to coming to school every day. Made a lot of good friends too!

Tuition & Financial Aid: Always complete/update your FAFSA early right after the new year. Always try to follow-up any completed requirements and/or changes online with a visit to the financial aid office so there is no delay in receiving your aid. Last but not least, and it may seem obvious, but always be couteous and respectful to all staff who are trying to help you receive your funds. Do not waste any time completing or following up any requirements. Some full- time students who live on financial aid benefit from submitting all documents as soon as requested and consequently receive their aid on the first disbursement.

Campus Resources: New and excellent computer lab in the Health/Science building. Also the free wireless is excellent but only close to the building. Math lab in the learning center is also outstanding. Faculty and staff are all excellent!

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Classes are extremely difficult to get into even with priority registration.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The campus has great resources for students if they are using the computers on campus. The new email system is inconvenient because all of the class announcements and downloads are on a different website than email.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am not able to obtain financial aid because both of my parents went to college and have full time jobs. I am one of 4 children all going through college on my parents dollar. At AVC there are students who apply for and are granted financial aid but do not stay in classes past the second week when financial aid comes in. The money goes straight into the pockets of people who are not using it for education.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Students are given financial aid but many just wait for that money and then stop attending class. The school is affordable and helps a large portion of students with fees but those students that are only in it for the money take up class spaces that they will only drop later. It is obvious in lower level classes when a month goes by and half the seats are empty. If you are a student that will put the aid to good use then you should not have too many problems however get to the offices as early as possible because the waiting lines can be atrocious.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Its Ok – just think they should verify who really is there for a degree or learning not those who take it and leave soon as they receive it

Student Body: You can find a bit of everything at the school. Some ethinicitys are more common than others but a lot of them are there. Many of the students are open to the other students beliefs.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: The registration process is easy to do and online so it can be done anywhere. The workload is decent and the professors are understanding and good teachers.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: The school has great rescources to help their students and the community is good. The only thing I rated the school down for is the weather which is really hot during the summer and very cold during the winter.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: the people and staff have always been good people that are willing to help you out if you need it. also the campus is a learning environment that keeps you focused on what you need to get done.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: the resources are extremely helpful there but since there are an overflow of students there is typically long lines you have to wait in.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: i honestly have never had a problem with this. the computers are up to date and the internet never takes forever.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: yes people are outgoing and friendly, but its when it is needed. people are very focused on getting to where they need to be and getting their goals finished. if you stop to ask them something they will talk to you and help you out but then they will quickly be on their way.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: I have access to a wide variety of things that can help me succeed academically. Also there are a lot of ways to join sports or even take classes involving sports.

3 College Junior

Student Body: I would give them a b because most students at my school are very smart people, but they have a bad work ethic. Great people to be around, but some of them just seem lazy.

2 College Junior

Academic Experience: There is a wide range in academics best suited for those in Science, Math, English etc. The professors are somewhat laid back but are also helpful unless you unfortunately get a poor teacher. Classes are fine, teachers are OK, but class registration is a huge hassle. Registration is like almost "first come, first serve" which causes students to flood the system and cause mass confusion and technical difficulties when applying. Otherwise, there is tutorials meant to help you, and study rooms for your group of peers you want to study with.

2 College Junior

Academic Experience: Antelope Valley College is about average when it comes to Academic experience. The Workload is ,at best few, and the instructors are somewhat clueless ,overall, in teaching. It's a hassle to get the right and best teachers but it's worth it. Instructors and other faculty members are somewhat borderline good and bad when it comes to your education level. I suggest you research the teachers for your own benefit.
