3 College Senior

Academic Experience: A new building was added for the Science and Health department and is very nicely kept.

College Senior

Career Services: I cannot tell how the post grad services are as I have never needed to use them.

5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: For my first semester, I have had a great experience.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: As long as you show interest to the teachers then they are willing to help.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I like how they offer many class schedules Morning, after noon and evenings.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: There is a wide variety of computer labs open to students. The internet is very fast for a community college. And the fees of printing are reasonable. There is always a computer open on campus for you to use even if it is the day of midterms or finals.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: I feel like this school has a very wide range of programs offered for students here in California. We have an extremely good program for Deaf Studies and Interpreting. Very hands on activities for all the classes, we have many Deaf people on our campus as well.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The facilities on campus aren't bad. For a community college we should be happy. We just got a brand new science building that is gorgeous along with our performing arts. It has great surroundings to hang out between classes and study.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The education is great but the financial aid help at the school is poor. It takes me hours to figure out any questions I may have. And for an out of state student I think the cost of tuition is outrageous and I had to come up with a lot of money on my own. They need to offer scholarships for students out of state not just California Residents. And they need to appreciate everyone who is attending the school.

4 College Freshman

Student Body: The school is pretty diverse, from people straight from high school to adults going back to further their education. I haven't really paid too much attention to their financial standings or social class but as for their personalities and ethnicities, everyone is pretty diverse. Everyone is also generally very nice.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Most of the professors I've had have been very helpful and eager to fuel young minds. Love some of the lectures I've had and enjoy going to class most of the time.

4 College Junior

Student Body: There are very school-spirited. Energetic at different college events.

4 College Junior

Career Services: The Job Placement Center is a good source on getting the proper tools to find agreeable employment. You must apply yourself. You have to submit a resume before you can even access the website to gain employment. It was a good experience.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The English professors at AVC are outstanding. They're passionate, helpful, understanding, and wise. Curriculum is more erratic, however. Some professors require what may seem like a ridiculous amount of work, while others hardly ask anything of their students. The most disappointing aspect of AVC's academic experience is the registration process here. Classes fill up within minutes, and many students wait several semesters before getting a class they desperately need.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Our computer labs are updated and always available for students. It is easy to both find and use them, and the students working within them are always helpful. Our wireless access is slightly less reliable, however, I, personally, have never had an issue accessing the internet while on campus.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: I'm rating AVC at a B because I'm honestly not entirely sure of the success rate of this schools alumni. What I do know is that Antelope Valley College offers a multitude of programs, as well as various information regarding careers after college.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I've received plenty of financial aid throughout my 6 semesters at this college.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I would really like for them to start Bachelors Degree Courses. Financial Aid Dept is great, but the wait to receive funds of 10 working business days to buy books and gas is a little too long especially for a single mom like me every penny that comes in is important to get through the day. Tuition is great, much cheaper than other school around.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: With the help of the counselors, I was able to choose classes that tend to play hand and hand with each other. My professors challenge me to make the most of my potential. There is a method to the madness, and if u listen and pay attention the professors make things as easy as possible.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: My school is full of people that recognize the gifts in others. We support all of our clubs and athletes religiously.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The overall school experience here has vastly improved.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The library is generally useful. However, there have been a few times that I was turned away because they did not have what I needed.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Since so many people attend this school, resources are not always available for use.

3 College Senior

Student Body: It is a community college so people from all over the Valley attend here. This is not always a good thing but it gives it diversity!

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: I have a certificate on fire technology, I really enjoying taking these classes and the chief battalion are very good instructors.
