1 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I have to wait, my major doesn't start til transfer.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Some decent professors, some great ones.
My high school greatly overqualified me for this school.
It is easy and the work load isn't a struggle at all.

Student Body: AACC takes no part in discrimination. The campus is very diverse which I have always enjoyed. Every student interacts with classmates regardless of ethnicity, political views, beliefs, religion, or gender.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition was reasonable due to how many free centers, resources, and tutors were available to students! It is best to apply for financial aid electronically. It is the fastest way to receive a response.

5 College Junior

Career Services: The career center was helpful. I learned many new things. Overall, excellent!

Academic Experience: I have recently began taking classes regarding my major which is Business Administration. The coursework is a little difficult. However, my professors provide study guides and other resources to help us succeed in the course. I am still beginning to get into the Business Admin. courses. I am enjoying the process!

Academic Experience: The professors were very out-going and understanding. It was very easy and stress-free to speak with a professor about a specific question or a concern. The coursework was difficult at times but there were many resources and assistance available for students if it became overwhelming. Tutors were also available for students. Everyone seemed to have an interest in different, interesting majors which was exciting to discuss.

Facilities: The buildings are not too far apart. It was very easy to commute from class to class because there was a great amount of time between classes where you can catch up with a friend, have a quick snack, or simply study before class begins. Everyone on campus were very sociable and study-oriented. AACC is different from other schools because it is very professional, fun, and everyone has the eagerness to help others and succeed! There are numerous activities, clubs, and events to attend. I don't believe AACC has had a dull moment. It is an awesome experience!!

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: The classes were very flexible both online and on-campus. I was able to attend school full time and work part time without any hassles. I was able to complete my coursework in a reasonable amount of time which was given.

Online Courses: All of the professors put their students first. We were a number one priority! The professors provided discussion forums to interact with classmates and ask questions that can also help another classmate. The schoolwork was never overwhelming as long as you had self-discipline and set a schedule to turn your work in on time! It was an amazing experience which I am currently still experiencing!

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: Printing copies and schoolwork were free and easy! The computer network was down a few times but overall, GREAT!

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: All of the resources that were needed were accessible without an issue. Resource centers and offices were available for students.

1 College Senior

Career Services: Not many options for Homeland Security majors. There were talks of creating internships for us with Fed and Local Agencies but nothing has been done to my knowledge.

College Senior

Online Courses: Unknown, I've never taken an online course or know of anyone who does take them.

2 College Senior

Overall Experience: My overall experience has had its good and bad points. I love my experience with the Homeland Security classes and the Profs and fellow students I've met, but I hated almost everything else. Making students take ridiculous non-credit math classes is one of the most pointless things I've ever heard of. Also the lack of school spirit and overall nature of the student body have been mediocre at best. It's almost obvious that people can't wait to transfer out of there.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I'm in the Homeland Security Management track at AACC and I love it. It actually has helped me to enjoy going to school again. All of the Professors in the HLS Department are incredible and come from a variety of backgrounds, FBI agents, Police Officers and even US Army Special Forces. These have been some of the best years of schooling I've ever had. However, my experience with the General Education professors has been less than stellar. I do no enjoy any of the General Education classes I've had so far besides one English class (This is a personal opinion, but when you've had the best at AACC teach you, everyone else seems sub-par.)
