Campus Resources: Anne Arundel Community College always has events open to the public and/or students on campus. They offer children's summer camps, job fairs, holiday events and a lot of other things I can't immediately recall off of the top of my head. It'd be nice to see as strong of a presence in the school's literary magazine as there is with the school newspaper, but the work included in the magazine is usually very good. Emails notifying students of activities or free classes that may be useful to them are sent out frequently.

Campus Resources: The computer network at school runs a bit slow from time to time, but it's understandable considering the amount of traffic it must get. Taking that into consideration, it's definitely acceptable and greatly appreciated. The computer labs are numerous, spacious and the equipment's always up to date and running--I've rarely seen a malfunctioning computer. Printing on campus recently got tapered to a set amount, but it's understandable considering the amount of stuff people tend to print when there aren't any restrictions in place. All and all I'm extremely happy with our computer network and use of technology. The only gripe I'd really have is the response time of some of the professors that offer online courses, but that's not really school administration's fault.

Academic Experience: For the most part I am happy with my classes, teachers and grading process

Campus Resources: Trying to boot up any computer in the labs on campus is frustrating. If you just want to print something quickly expect to sit there for 5 minutes while the computer loads.

Academic Experience: I Am Looking Forward to Starting – I have taken all of my prerequisites at AACC for the Physician Assistant program, and enjoyed all of them. The teachers were really knowledgeable about the subjects they taught and were really helpful. I am really looking forward to starting the PA program in the Spring!

Tuition & Financial Aid: Community college price is great. I am happy with the cost here

Online Courses: Besides the new Angel being very slow, online classes have been going well

Academic Flexibility: Its a great school and really what you make out of it. The professors are excellent and really are there to teach you and make sure you understand. Anne Arundel is different than most of the community colleges in the area.

Academic Experience: This college is exceptional at providing students with the tools and large amount of associate degrees they need to pursue more education when they graduate. There are also many study labs for different subjects, and numerous instructors available to help you with your coursework. This makes for an excellent learning environment outside of the classes.

Student Body: I was not greatly impressed with the people at AACC. You have many different small niches of people, and the majority of people are uninterested in being social and are only there to get their credits and leave. There is great diversity in the ethnicity and sex of the student body at this school however.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Excellent Financial Aid here. The classes are fairly priced, and I feel as though I got the education I paid for here. The college also has many resources and advisers to help you along the way in order to get the most help and financial aid which is possible.

Academic Experience: I think the Information Systems degree at AACC is very good, above average in fact. I believe sometimes the professors are too easy on students however, and also some of them are too difficult. There needs to be more of a balance. The facilities are probably some of the best you will find at any Community College, and they are always adding to and improving the Campus. The course that specifically is too difficult is the C++ course in the curriculum. the prof for this class thinks they are teaching a senior level course and expects more knowledge of the material than normally is possible at the sophomore level.

Student Body: I love the diversity among the student population. Similarities may bring people together, but differences keep things exciting.

Career Services: I have not used the Career Services at AACC. I do see fliers around the campus about upcoming events sponsored by the Career Services. However, I am not going to grade a college aid that I am personally unfamiliar with.

Online Courses: The workload was too intense for an online course. Especially when there were technical problems with the programs used. One time, the system would not allow me to turn in my assignment. It kept saying error. In addition, the expensive key code required to access the course would not work properly.

Academic Flexibility: The real reason I chose this school was because of how cheap it was to attend here. I found that there was a bonus when the classes and teachers were very lenient to my schedule and went out of their way to make sure I had all the information I needed.

Career Services: After receiving this grad I found it hard to find other colleges that would accept a student with a C average. All the advise I could receive was to retake the classes I had done poor in and raise the grade, which would raise the overall look of my GPA. However, that would take time I just didn't have.

Campus Resources: At AACC it's been a work in progress, but they have completed, this year, the new library. It's awesome, updated, modern, etc. The athletic center could use a great deal of help. It's helpful and very informative. Having been involved with the baseball team I wasn't able to attend many campus activities. I had to commute every day.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Whenever I had to visit their office (many times) they never made me feel like i was bothering them. I believe my parents are getting their money's worth. I am getting great grades, I am working really hard too to keep my GPA up. I have enjoyed getting to know my degree and look forward to pursuing it further at the 4 yr. college of my choice. The department was helpful to me and my parents when it came to the FASFA forms. Offered the use of a computer to fill our FASFA form out the first year when our home computer froze up.

Campus Resources: I am a 2 yr. college the smaller class sizes are best. More attention from and and I'm able to get to know the professors better they are very personable. The security is always present they even helped my mom charge up the battery when it died while she was waiting for me after an exam.

Campus Resources: The student office bldgs. are very helpful and the people they have hired go out of their way to make sure I/we understand how they are resolving our problem. The tutoring systems are extremely helpful as well. The only frustrating thing though would be when teachers (some, not all) don't respond to my e-mail questions.

Online Courses: The online course I took was General Chemistry 1 and not only was the teacher beyond helpful and accommodating to anything I needed but he was always willing to answer questions and work with you to make sure you understood the material and got the most out of the class. The class was very easy to navigate through Angel and the teacher frequently sent updates to via email to the class so everyone knew what was going on and where they should be. The workload was pretty moderate and was not really that bad and there was plenty of opportunity for extra credit to boost my grade.

Academic Flexibility: No matter who I talked to I could always get a straight forward answer to any question I had about academics and classes here. When I was trying to transfer credits in one of the campus advisers took me step by step through the process and helped to expedite the process so that I could sign up for the correct classes so I wasn't retaking anything that I already had credit for. The advisers and teachers were also very willing to work with me in anything that I needed to succeed both in life and in the classroom from helping to arrange classes that fit my family and work schedule to helping me on projects and assignments day and night when I needed if with several professors.

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The school is absolutely worth every cent I paid for it and the financial aid department was very helpful in helping me understand what I was paying for and how to get the most from federal loans and federal work study. Sometimes I had issues in getting specific information about financial aid regarding federal work study but in the end the issue was always solved very efficiently.

Academic Experience: Professors are more than happy to help, student just has to ask.
