Guys & Girls: Social life is good for some people. It really depends on your friends. The school is so small everyone tries to know your business.

2 College Junior

Nightlife: There is no night-life transportation and Worcester clubs are grimy.

4 College Junior

Computers: All most all students have their own computer. There are a couple computer labs with free printing.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: I personally do not like the location. It is close to Worcester, a big city but the campus is very isolated.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: The health center is great. They have great staff for physical and mental issues. The campus safety are real police officers.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: I do not like the dining hall hours. And after ten p.m. there is no food available on campus except vending machines. And the closest restaurant is miles away.

3 College Junior

Parking: The campus safety officers have nothing to do except ticket student's cars for parking in the wrong lot. There are always plenty of spots so I don't see why they need to reinforce such an annoying rule.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: There is no Greek life. The college can be very strict. The campus ministry could be stronger.

4 College Junior

Majors: There are a lot of options for majors and minors. Some are more popular than others but all of the programs are excellent.

3 College Junior

Majors: I am not concerned about finding a job. Anna Maria has a great alumni network. The college offers both music and art therapy.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Anna Maria loves students that show interest. Since it is a private college it can get pretty pricey.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I have no experience with off-campus housing. The only downfall is the commute to campus.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: I had no drugs in my room but I had "paraphernalia" so they took away my visitation rights in the dorm, 40 hours of community service, and banned from the dorms on the weekend. Fairness is debatable.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: students need to sign every visitor in at their dorm

4 College Sophomore

Parking: Every student is allowed a car on campus, just don't park it in the wrong spot or you'll be caught and fined-quick!

Athletics: Anna Maria College is D3 athletics. It is very easy to partake in the sport teams. The women's field hockey team won their conference championship and the men's basketball team made it to the championship final but unfortunately lost. (2012-2013 year) Along with those teams, men's lacrosse is also very good and competitive. On the negative side some of the other teams have a poor record such as the women's volleyball, men's soccer, and women's soccer teams. It is a wide vary of strong and weak team records, but overall fun experiences and a good way to get to know people.

Weather: At Anna Maria College there is often cold weather and snow. Classroom buildings are all in 5-10 minute walking distances so it's never an issue to get to class if you live on campus.Classes are cancelled here and there in the winter, be prepared to dress warm. Typical New England weather.

Transportation: There is a school van that does Saturday trips to the mall, Wednesday trips to Walmart, and if organized can do trips elsewhere. I personally have not looked into the transportation options at my school.

Off-Campus Dining: I haven't explored much of the off-campus dining options near Anna Maria College. Worcester is 10 minuets down the road with very typical dining options; Subway, McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, pizza joints and some restaurants.

Academics: I am majoring in Art Therapy at Anna Maria College and I love it. Guiding Children's Behavior was my first course combining therapy and child development. It showed me that working with people in a helpful way, was something I wanted to pursuit as a career. Along with basic college courses, I had my art courses focused on painting, drawing and ceramics. Working with and helping people using art is a combination that fits me perfectly. There are not a lot of colleges that offer Art Therapy as a major so I'm very grateful I found it at Anna Maria College.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I am quite a fan of the academics at Anna Maria College because there is a variety of courses, a workload that is manageable as long as kept up with, the work is challenging without being impossible and the professors are easy to reach and are eager to help students understand the material.

Health & Safety: Security and safety was never an issue in the school. It was a relatively small sized campus and small dorms. RAs were constantly on alert and on call, making their halls feel safe. The only thing that ever made anyone uneasy were the urban legends and paranormal activity on campus.

Facilities: AMC was and is still considered one of the best colleges for Criminal Justice. My tutition money was well spent on good quality professors. Practicing attorneys and FBI agents as professors.

3 Recent Alumnus

Facilities: They were in the middle of expanding and remodeling my senior year.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: Something unique that set it apart from other schools would be the study abroad program. Not only its a learning trip but you feel like you are with your family and its a life time experience that you will carry on for the est of your life.
