Campus Strictness: Not a bunch of strictness on campus and/or in dorms. Mostly depends on either who your professors or RA is. Some dorm floors have very strict RA's who do weekly check in and some others don't. Some professors have a max about of absences you can have in a semester before you automatically fail the course, others do not.

Campus Strictness: Mostly you can get away with stuff and depending on who catches you determines the amount of trouble you are in

Campus Strictness: The policies are beneficial but strict.

Campus Strictness: The campus strictness is not enforced to strongly. The police are rarely involved but when they are, they mean business. Attendance is on the students and the police let the students make that decision for themselves. I don't know any of the police officers personally, but they're always willing to exchange a "hello" or "how are you?"

Campus Strictness: I feel as though ASU picks and chooses their battles. When I lived in the dorms, they were very lenient on drugs, alcohol, and visitors, but very strict on financial standing, grades, and attendance in class depending on the professor.

Angelo State University has a decent strictness policy. There is no curfew for students to be back in the dorms, but after midnight only residents can get into the dorms. This is because the front desks close at midnight and can't watch who comes in. However, RAs are on duty 24/7 to ensure residents' needs are able to be met. There are quiet hours, but they rarely need to be enforced because most students are considerate. Visiting hours are a little more strict. If you are caught with a visitor after hours, an RA will ask the guest to leave, and you only get in trouble if it is a recurring situation.

The alcohol policy is strict, especially in the freshman dorms, but enforcement is only as strict as the floor's RA. Typically, stricter RAs live in freshman dorms and enforce the alcohol policy, but some RAs in upperclassman dorms will be lenient if the person is over 21. Overall, a good RA will be the strictest because they are following policies and actually doing their job. The popular RAs are the ones that let their residents get away with anything.
