4 College Freshman

Majors: As a theology major, I am very happy so far with the program. I've been learning so much and it's only been a semester so far. The teachers are very helpful and know each student by name. I'm loving this program!

Majors: It's very easy to get your name out there and find someone professional who you could intern for.

Majors: Andrews University's education is very professional. The teachers are there to help the students, and are caring. You'll meet tons of people that will change your life forever. The spiritual aspect of the school is what stands out to me. It offers a chance to connect with God everyday with all the special and outstanding programs that they provide. The food at Andrews is very good. I've had digestion problems for most of my life but when I started eating at Andrews my digestion problems disappeared. There's a lot to do and for the most part you'll meet a lot of nice people.

Off-Campus Dining: Not many options, and generally need a car to get there. Subway, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Mcdonalds, and some small sit-down restaurants. More options 15-30 min drive away.

Campus Dining: The campus is vegetarian, and has some good options but is often disappointing. Pastas are often good. The dining hall has a required meal plan of around $1,600 per semester which won't last you if you eat there for two meals a day without reloading or will be wasted if you average one meal a day since they will only refund $200. This can also be spent at the gazebo, which makes things like smoothies and sandwiches and sells snacks throughout the day. These can be good but can take a while to get in and out.
Not many food options in town - subway, mcdonalds, pizza hut, taco bell, a few small restaurants; none really within walking distance.

Drug Safety: Drugs, alcohol, and tobacco are strictly prohibited for student use due to the school's religious affiliation. That's not to say that there isn't a party scene, but it doesn't happen on campus. In all aspects, women are punished more harshly than the men.

2 College Senior

Parking: Parking is beginning to become inadequate for the volume of use, but it is easy enough to get by on campus without a car or by parking it once for the day and walking for the rest. It's hard to get a spot where your classes are if you're a commuter.

Campus Housing: Women's dorm is old, small, inefficient and somewhat unsanitary. Not at all what you would expect for the price or from a University. Walking distance to classes is favorable.

Diversity: There are people from many diverse backgrounds and so it is easy for students to feel welcome and are able to relate to other students.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are a few off-campus choices but if you are health-conscious, it may be difficult to find many healthy options.

Parking: It is very easy to find a parking space. There are also security cameras so the premises are very safe.

Weather: We call my campus " Siberia" because we swear the weather is just as ridiculous as russia. Oh, and the best part.....classes never..ever cancel. I am a senior and the school closed twice( one the school closed willing and the other time they were fined for not closing). If you let the weather get to you, you will get depressed but most students go drifting in the snow, skiing, slidding and snow mobling.

3 College Senior

Athletics: Sports events are avaiable, frequent but not well advertised. And since our school focuses mainly on academics our teams are not that strong so team spirit is weak since we lose most of the time.

4 College Senior

Campus Dining: The food is great if you are only a vegetarian. If not, well you are out of luck but the cafe and gazabo is a vegetarian heaven.

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: They are trying to improve the dorm situation but I give them B+ for lack of forsight. They did not do renovations early and did not forsee overcrowding. But the new dorms that they finally bulit are like hotels.

Majors: It was really easy to get into the program. The Religion program has some special requirements like doing practicum hours, which a student should do throughout the semester.

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere is very pleasant here. It's a small quiet town which is conducive to studying. There are bigger stores for shopping nearby which allows someone to have the perfect balance between country living and big city shopping!

5 Recent Alumnus

Computers: There is easy access to computers on campus, even the library has many computers available for students. So even if someone does not have a computer of their own, they should be fine.

5 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: The biggest sports on campus is Basketball. I've heard that our team is amongst the top in terms of private universities competitions.

3 Recent Alumnus

Transportation: Andrews does not provide Transportation for students e.g. a bus service. This can be a challenging for those that life off campus and do not have a car.

2 College Junior

Scholarships: Scholarships information is not volunteered to students. If you don't ask they will not tell. As the financial services as much questions you can think of otherwise you may miss some important information.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I have not hear of any incident and the medical center is very efficient.

2 College Junior

Parking: There is not enough parking for the number of students who drive to classes. Even if you are early you might have to park far from your class, so be prepare to walk.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Andrews is a great university. The professors show honest interest for the students' learning abilities, and they will go the extra mile to help if necessary. Here is a god place to learn academics, to experience life, and to develop life-long friendships.

Off-Campus Dining: There is nothing to do in Berrien Springs, you have to travel at least 40 mins.
