3 College Sophomore

Parking: i dont have a car, but it is a little bit confusing. There is only so many places you are allowed to park.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: Its not to difficult. Just get relatively good grades and then Junior year you apply for it.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I am pretty happy with my major. Im not sure if Im going to make it through. But I would definitely pick it again.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I do enjoy my program. I am doing medical laboratory science. It feels like a family because their are not as many of us. Also it is easier to get jobs than other science majors such as biology.

2 College Sophomore

Majors: If have not heard of many internship opportunities. I think they are far and few between.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Andrews University offers the Andrews Partnership Scholarship to all students. It is a GPA-based scholarship ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 split over four years. This is a great scholarship. However, apart from this there are little scholarship opportunities. There are few scholarships for music. There are no athletic scholarships.

Campus Housing: Living on campus is not bad as long as you are busy. The campus is a good size where you can reach most places in a 5 minute walk. Housing can range from decent to great depending on which building you live in either on or off-campus. However, the school could use some more school spirit and a more spontaneous and fun spirit in its students and faculty. Berrien Springs can be a dreary place, especially on the weekends. There seems to be nothing to do, as the town is very quiet and not very alive.

Facilities: The student center is great place to hang out and meet people. Upstairs from the student center is the cafeteria. Located in the student center is the gazebo, a food store serving sandwiches and selling groceries. The gazebo is expensive, however. There are many chairs and tables at the campus center and many activities and advertisements are located here. A TV and a fireplace-heater are also here. While I think the layout of the campus center can be bigger and better, it has served is purpose quite well.

Facilities: The Seventh-Day Adventist culture is very unique to this school. If you are searching for spiritual fulfillment, it would not be hard at all to find in this school. It can be a spiritually nurturing environment if you desire it to be.

4 College Senior

Facilities: Student life is good. Pretty much every weekend there's a program to go to, which helps alleviate weekend boredom that many students experience. The Student Center and Rec Center are often utilized everyday.

Computers: School computers are great. Students have the option of using PCs or using Apple desktops in several of the Mac labs. The dormitories have their own labs as well.

3 College Senior

Parking: Parking is available next to pretty much every building on campus. Students have received tickets for having their cars in unrestricted spots.

4 College Senior

Facilities: My school has great international opportunities. Students can study abroad for a month, a summer, a semester or a full academic year. Each May several departments plan Study Tours. This year students can take Photography classes in India or Religion classes in Jordan & Egypt, all done with university professors. Andrews really opens students up to the world.

Off-Campus Dining: There's not really much around. To get off-campus dining options you could order, walk or fine a ride to go there.

3 College Freshman

Majors: I am an undeclared student, but the classes that I take are interesting. If I was to do it all over again, I would probably want to be certain of my major, of course, and choose classes that could benefit me. I think my concerns would be finding a job that is suitable. I am soon to declare a major and I hope the road ahead is clear.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: The main focus is Christianity and being a Seventh day Adventist.

There are many people that come from far and near.

3 College Freshman

Majors: I'm very satisfied with my program at my university. The professors do well teaching. I feel that I will have no problem continuing my studies in graduate school and getting a job.

Parking: Parking spaces are regulated toyour living situation. If you live off campus you do have a fair bit of spots to choose from. I will say that I e received no tickets yet.

Health & Safety: The campus appears to be very safe. However, I sometimes feel unsafe walking alone at night. I very rarely see campus security during this time. I have heard of a few crimes taking place on campus, so this makes me aware of my environment at all times. However, I feel safe for the most part.

5 Recent Alumnus

Drug Safety: The drug scene at my school is probably almost non-existent. I have never witnessed anyone taking drugs on campus. I believe that if there are students that do take drugs they would go off campus because it would be difficult to do so here without being noticed.

Academics: I am a first year student in the Theological Seminary here. Thus far I can that the quality of education received is excellent. The majority of the professors are extremely friendly and are available to help students outside of the classroom. I've noticed the willingness of many of them to even mentor students. The workload given can sometimes seem overwhelming but if you ensure that you remain organized and do not procrastinate you will be fine. There were a few glitches in the registration process this semester so many people had to do manual registration. This made registration a painful process for me. But other than that, this is a great program!

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: They have police that patrol campus every morning. after 11 pm id is needed to get onto campus, and questionable id or people will go though a process to enter in order to protect the students safety. there is also campus safety workers who drive around all night making sure they dont see any suspicious activity.

College Junior

Greek Life: there is no greek life at andrews university since it is a seventh day adventist school.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: The drug scene is not high at all. Immediate suspension if you are caught drinking and expulsion for marijuana. Most people if they do partake in drugs do it off campus at parties or in their homes. i have noticed that marijuana is more of a popular choice over alcohol at my school also.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: I would give it this score because Berrien Springs only has fast food in walking distance. To do anything recreational is 20 minutes away and you cant go places unless you have a car or are friends with someone who has a car. But on the plus side, we're only a half hour from notre dame which has alot to do in that area and we arent very far from chicago either which is very fun once you have time to enjoy the city.
