Campus Dining: While there is a variety of options that can be used with the meal plan, the hours are terrible. Sometimes the food taste of low quality as well.

College Freshman

Nightlife: The only type of night life in Anderson is Cook out or Waffle House. There are not many "club scenes," if any- a lot of people go to Clemson to party.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Anderson offers a lot of private scholarships- the only bad thing is that you can't get the amount raised. What you receive your freshmen year is what you have for all four years.

Parking: The current parking situation on our college campus is horrible, and everyone seems to recognize this fact except for the administration. Because we are a smaller school, permit costs are relatively low ($60.00) and freshman are allowed to have cars on campus. However, there are not nearly enough spaces. After all the parking spots on campus fill up, students are forced to park down the street, at nearby churches, and even in local resident's driveways!

Computers: AU has computer labs all over campus with printing available at each lab. The best thing about AU is that freshman year, you get an IPAD that you will use in your classes. You can even download your books onto the ipad instead of buying actual books.

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of places to eat in Anderson and they are easy to get to. You can find anything from Mcdonalds to Texas Road House or Red Lobster on the same road. I have not found one yet that gives a student discount.

Academics: The professors are great at AU. The classes are small enough that when you walk into class, they actually greet you by your name. It is nice to be a name and not just a number.

Academics: Having an add-on to my major has really increased my workload

Off-Campus Dining: Many of the off campus dining options are great! Most of them are cheap and actually taste really good! Some of them include Chick-Fil-A, Cookout, and Subway! At many of the local restaurants, students receive discounts if they show their school i.d. And it's great because we're broke college kids!

Athletics: Many times during the year, there are sporting events where the student body is very excited about! For Anderson University, it's mostly the basketball games. Fans are cheering constantly, the games are intense, and the student section really gets into it!

Facilities: This school has many opportunities to be involved in the community through academic clubs, neccessary volunteer hours or campus ministries. As a Christian school, the values of the school are derived from a Biblical perspective. We have Journey which is basically chapel every Wednesday served to spread God's Word and magnify Him in various ways. Although this school is set apart in its Christian atmosphere, it is not overwhelming. It's a subdual feeling that you can not define right away but once you figure out that it's God moving through people, you see it clearly. The friendliness and genuinity of the faculty, staff and even students makes school home.

Facilities: Because Anderson is located in a historic district, it is difficult to renovate and meet certain standards. Therefore, there is a lot of historical architecture that provides character but can be outdated in some aspects. Some of the residence halls bathrooms leak water and smell with mold but only on occassion. Other residence halls on campus are some of the newest and updated college dorms around. Campus life is laid back but active with frequent events and people just walking around on campus. The intramural field is a big hang out for people as well as dining areas and residence lobbies.

Off-Campus Dining: Chick-fil-a is a little pricey for fast food but worth it on occassion. It's a favorite for sure! They sell specially fried chicken sandwichs and other fast food options. Cook-Out is cheap and a fun place to hang out. It serves fast food and a wide variety of milkshakes. These are the two most visited restaurants in town. There are many others such as Zaxby's that are high-end fast food and affordable.

Academics: You have to jump through a ton of hoops for the education department. However, I feel like I have learned a lot of necessary things for when I am a teacher.

Majors: There is no extra processes initially; however to actually enter the Education Department, you must pass Benchmark I which includes Praxis I and a long list of submissions from your prior work completed here at AU.

4 College Junior

Computers: There are plenty of computer labs around campus, but there isn't a lot of printer access. The is at least on lab in each of the academic buildings and one in the library. the network is reliable and there is wi-fi all over the campus. All freshmen receive an iPad as part of their registraton.

5 College Junior

Campus Strictness: They are very strict about dorm visitors. There are no boys allowed in the girls dorms or vice versa. They are also strict about drugs and alcohol. A student can be kicked out for having either in the dorms or on campus. They have a zero tolerance rule.

4 College Junior

Weather: The weather is usually mild. When there is ice or snow, campus safety makes sure that the sidewalks and porches are clear. The worst thing about the weather is the icy wind some mornings in January and February.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Depending on where you live depends on how great your dorms are. The upperclassmen have priority so if you're lucky you'll get a nice dorm.

5 College Freshman

Academics: The teachers here are more than willing to help you out so you can succeed.

Off-Campus Dining: There's a variety of tons of off campus dining. Whether it's fast food, or a home cooked meal, you'll never go hungry as long as you have money.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Since Special Education is a new full major on campus, we are gradually growing to be the A+ material.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Just about anything you could want to eat is on Clemson Boulevard or near the school.

Campus Housing: Upperclassmen get the priorities in the nicer housing options. It seems like Freshmen are assigned to the housing that the upperclassmen wouldn't pick.

Parking: There is NEVER a parking spot near my dorm and I ALWAYS have to walk by myself in the cold all the way from the intramural field to my building and it is very frustrating. It's a good ten minute walk and if this school were to renovate anything, the parking needs to be the first thing.
