5 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: It's Washington, DC! You can find ANY kind of food you want.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Everything is out of the way and closes early.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: You will literally never not have somewhere to eat. There's everything from cheap to 5 star restaurants and a huge variety of ethnic options. Some are walkable, some you need to take the AU shuttle to, and others require the metro, but all in all DC is a great food city.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: I work at the restaurant right next to my school so I am able to eat for 50% off there so thats great. A lot of the kids from school will eat with me on long days so they can use my discount.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Tenlytown is a small suburb-ish area. So, there's a Whole Foods, a few chain restaurants, and one McDonalds.

No matter what type of cuisine you are craving, D.C. is the perfect place to satisfy your taste buds. It seems that every country in the world not only has an embassy in D.C., but also a restaurant. The more adventurous your tastes run, the more fun you’ll have exploring cuisine in the city. There is every type of food imaginable, and restaurants range from fine dining experiences to fast food.

Fortunately, for students with thin wallets, there are cheap diners and eateries that surround campus. In nearby Tenleytown alone, there are restaurant spots that serve Mexican, French, Japanese, Thai, and classic American food. Students stress the importance of going beyond the comforts of fast food and late-night pizza and experiencing the endless international flavors the city offers.
