Paris is one of the places in the world where it's a good time to be hungry since it is home to so many different restaurants. The cuisine ranges from Italian to Persian and everything in between. There are, needless to say, some very nice French restaurants, when students get up the courage to try authentic, French cuisine (which doesn't just consist of frog legs, snails, and roasted rabbit in mustard). The only downside is that there's not much of a difference when it comes to prices between restaurants.
It's a pretty good deal if you head out to the restaurant with friends and then split the bill along with the main dishes. That way, you get more variety at a lesser cost. There is an abundance of Chinese/Japanese/Asian restaurants in Paris, and it's not at all uncommon to see Pizza Hut or McDonald's around, either (yes, they actually do exist in Paris!). While in Paris, students will learn to appreciate a wide variety of cooking (sometimes without meaning to), learn the difference between French hot drinks, have eaten at least five types of cheese, and discover that almost anything can be put on a crepe.
