Campus Resources: Facilitires Aren't Abd – The gym is nice and the theater is small but nice as well.

Campus Resources: There are very few spots on campus to print at and if you are in a particular hall, chemistry for example, then you can only print chemistry related stuff. It is annoying.

Academic Experience: Great Professors – I am a fashion major and so far have enjoyed the classes that I have taken thus far. Though the work load can be a bit heavy I am always eager to get to class because the subjects keep me captivated. My professors are all very passionate about their subject which also makes it vastly easier to learn and become optimistic about this field.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid office makes the process easy and suitable for those in need of financial aid. I also believe that the time in class is well spent learning the field I want to work in, and obtaining skills that are valuable.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Unstable at Times – I took an online course at American River and the only problem I had with it was the fact that the website was down during times that it was supposed to be open. Other than that, the experience was great.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: My school has diversity. People come from all walks of live, different ages, and ethnicity, which makes it an interesting place to meet new people.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Keep Your Grades up – I got all the financial aid that I needed for school, but last semester, I slipped in one class, and they warned me that I was in danger of not getting financial aid anymore. Just focus on school. That's what they're paying for. If you do that, you'll get the money.

Campus Resources: Great Athletic Department – The athletic faculty are experienced and motivate their students to achieve their absolute best, which is why I gave this topic an 'A.' The library has separate floors that provide a spacious quiet environment that is needed for students to thrive. Student centers as well as campus activities are also readily available for those that would seek it.

Campus Resources: Pretty Reliable – Whenever I'm in need of a computer at school they are always readily available and responsive. They are excellent when it comes to loading files and have new software.

Overall Experience: Solid Education for a Junior College – I have received a lot of good, solid schooling here. I have only had one back teacher, and every other one I have loved! Parking and getting into classes, is a pain, but that often is at overcrowded junior colleges. Honestly, I think this is a high quality school.

Academic Experience: Great Classes! The classes here was diverse and many. Though they have certainly been cut back due to financial cutbacks of the school, I still feel a receive a superior educational experience here!

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: It is very simple. Go to the fafsa website, fill out the forms, and you are pretty much done from there! It's super easy!

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Difficult to Get Into Classes – I have attending this college for five semesters now, and it is so hard to get into classes these last few semesters! It is darn near impossible. You would think I would have more priority for sign ups considering my seniority and my excellent GPA. I think the system is flawed.

Campus Resources: 1St Time – The first time I used the computers at ARC was when I took my orientation. In my opinion the college could use more computers but once I got on one it ran smoothly. So far my experience with the colleges computers was good.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Late Start – My college helped me a lot during the Financial Aid process, unfortunately I applied late and it took a while for me to get through it. I was able to apply for FASFA and other programs and luckily I wasn't too late and receive the aid and am currently waiting until school starts to use it. After this process I learned that you should always have a plan B in case plan A doesn't work out. I had to figure out that the hard way, but I'm glad things were able to work themselves out. I definitely recommend that anyone who looks into Financial Aid starts on time.

Academic Flexibility: Pre-College Experience – ARC has a great Culinary Arts Program and that greatly inspired me to attend the school, I'd received credits in high school that would go towards a degree at the college and that was helpful. Unfortunately I applied to the school late and many classes I needed for my degree were wait listed. Fortunately I was able to find classes with short list and they worked very well around each other and my schedule. I'm hoping I'll make it in as times that I've visited ARC have been good and the staff was polite and helpful.

Tuition & Financial Aid: On the Ball – When it comes to financial aid at American River College my experiences have been great. I have never had a hassle yet. I have experienced a lot of hassles at other community college campuses but at ARC it has been the best. The line is never too long the most I've waited is thirty minutes, and the staff is informative and provides you with the direction you need to go in. Tuition is at a reasonable cost. The value of education I have received from American River College is well worth the tuition I have paid. American River provides students with plenty of help to pass your course and many resources to get through college. The campus is large and has a nice amount of resources for students so that they are always available to you with little to no hassle or line.

Academic Experience: Professional Professors – The professors at American River College always seem to amaze me. Professors are always knowledgeable and seem to be dedicated to their students progress. My professors have always expressed availability when it comes to having any questions or needing help throughout the course. Every Professor has provided me with on-campus office hours and phone numbers. E-mails have been the most efficient way to get in contact these days. Some professors even have cell phone numbers you can call or text! My class registration process has been very pleasant. American River College has a registration and financial aid process that works for their staff and students which results in a very easy, smooth, informative process.

Academic Experience: I'm an Early Childhood Education Major and my classes are usually very informative and interesting. The workload given from the classes have never been too much. American River College has the best ECE classes in the Los Rios District. The staff that works with this major are very well connected with each other as well as the students pursuing this major. ARC provides a work experience course that allows you to further your experience in this major in the wonderful Childcare Center they have on campus. There are plenty of opportunities to get help with your courses financially in the ECE program at ARC. The staff is really informative and provides students with information on how to receive this help. My experience has been wonderful pursuing my Early Childhood Education degree at American River College.

Campus Resources: No Home Internet but That's Okay – I don't have internet access in my own home but that doesn't stop me in the slightest. The school provides a very large computer lab and on-campus wi-fi that is accessible to all of its students. The library provides many floors and seating ares where someone can access the internet from their own computer in comfort. This makes on-line interactions and printing very convenient for me.

Overall Experience: In a Couple of Years – I like my school now. The teachers and students are great, and the facilities in the music hall and library are very accommodating. However, I wish I could have gone here a couple of years later when all the construction is finished. For the past two years we have been without a cafeteria and have had very limited access to food on campus. A parking garage is being constructed but in the meantime half of our parking lot is being taken up for space to build. The construction seems to go so slow yet everyday there is large machinery interrupting my class periods. It would be better to go here in a couple years when all the facilities are up and running and can better meet the needs of the growing student population.

Student Body: Success in and Outside of the Classroom – All the students here are very hard working and are going to school because they want to be here. Never in my past school experiences have I been surrounded by students who want everyone in the class to do well, and who arrange study groups to help everyone succeed. Many people I've met want to help others both inside and outside of school, whether its helping someone find jobs or tutoring them for their next exam. Neither have I seen such a great place where strangers become classmates, and where classmates become lifelong friends.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Help the Friend in Need – The whole financial aid process is very confusing. I love the school and its dedicated teachers, however when it comes to getting help with financial aid I run into a brick wall. Many of the staff members designed to help with financial aid don't speak English very well because it is not their first language and it makes it difficult to describe my situation. The best way to get financial aid is to talk to someone who has done it before, an older student of alumni who know how difficult the process can be and who can give you all the tips and secrets you need to get it right. With the help of an older student, I am now able to aid other students who are struggling with financial aid like I was.

5 College Senior

Online Courses: Great Professors – I can say from first hand expierence your professor will work with you if you just take the time out and actually meet with them and let them know that your struggling or whatever the case may be communication is the key! In college you have to acquire time management or assigments will be late and not formatted in the right way, its all up to the student for his/her progress.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Uniquley Unnique – I have not explored the unique things that sets ARC apart from any other community college. I do feel one thing that does set them apart from other schools is their want to make sure they do anything to make sure you exceed as far as the free tutoring to the flexible professor hours.
