Tuition & Financial Aid: School is just too much

Tuition & Financial Aid: The school academics is great

Academic Experience: The classes offered here are all based on the different majors that are available to students. Also, the general education classes are much educational and I have personally learned a lot of facts I never knew before. The process of registering for classes is straight forward and all the directions are given in the college website. Professors base assignments on student's potentials so that no one gets overloaded with assignments, but also can learn what is needed to know.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The application process was very straight forward and I knew what I exactly needed to do. It would have been nice if the students could also be eligible to receive financial aid in the summer in case they wanted to take classes in order to transfer faster.

Academic Flexibility: I chose my classes based on my convenience and it was easy to do so since they have classes for almost any hour of the day.

Campus Resources: There is basically everything a student needs to be successful. All of the staff are helpful as well.

Campus Resources: The campus is nice and they have made a lot of improvements in the last couple of years. It's comfortable to hang out in if you have a break. The library is such an eyesore though. It looks like a jail from the outside.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Even though i am unable to get grants because of my income level the financial aid is spot on and they take the time to make sure everyone is helped before there following class. I have friends who also feel the same way because they were constantly kept up to date on upcoming deadlines. The system works and is flawless, all i need is a scholarship like this to help me pay my bills.

Student Body: The student body is very good at making sure that we are all up to date. At the beginning of the week around 8 in the morning i see poster being put on walls and students offering tours and much more. They do what my high school student body could not, and that is keep everyone happy.

Online Courses: They offer you plenty of online and on campus assistance, I am enrolled in an online math class and it has made my life a lot easier because i can work at my own pace. My only problems is occasional bugs in the programs software but, its fixed fast so i am okay with it.

Academic Flexibility: One of the great things about American river is that they have classes going all the time. Nights and Weekends are available for people who have nine to five jobs and there are a number of offsite campuses as well as online classes. Not only that but because ARC is part of the larger Los Rios College District, if you can't find a class here you can probably find it at one of the other three. Unfortunately with the cutting of funds for education in California a lot of the classes are getting cut or are extremely impacted so its great if you have a priority enrollment date otherwise it sucks trying to find any thing.

Career Services: The career center helps with résumé deployment and provides pamphlets on how to interview, dress and look for jobs; but its all up to you to do everything. The don't even help you find a job for work experience their advertisement of the information is a bit lacking. A point in their favor, though, is they make sure there is at least one career fair every semester.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am still an Academic enrichment student and know very little about financial aid at American River college since I do not get payed money directly that I may use for supplies; but nevermore I am very thankful that it covered most of the classes tuitions. The books and required materials that I need for classes were not paid for and that made it harder for me, but I understand that it is a part of life and that my major is much more worth it because I need to get high level of knowledge, and that it would make a difference in my career.

Academic Experience: My major is social worker or school counselor, I changed schools lately but just like Futures, Visions does not offer much based on my major. I therefore started taking classes in college to get a closer look at what my major and obtain knowledge that I will latter use in my major. The first class I took was Psychology at Sierra College, the class was great, I loved that class and learned great skills from my professor.

Academic Experience: I wish that it would be easier for advanced education students to apply to classes. The process of dropping class and adding another takes to much time and work and is unreliable based on that, that someone from the admission desk has to preform the task for you. I alone have experienced no just one misunderstanding and mistakes that the admission clerks made in registering me for a wrong class; which almost caused me to have a bad start on my transcript.

Academic Flexibility: The reason that I chose American River College is because of the class schedule. The class hours are so convenient that I am able to go to high school first, and then drive to college. I also like this college, because it accepted me as an advanced education student, which is great.

Online Courses: I'm taking a hybrid class, meaning that it is half online and half campus class. First I was kind of nervous knowing that I had to do the assignments and quizzes online, because it was my first time. But now I learned a lot from it, and now I keep track of my time well. Online classes are also a good start for the future, that will help us to have a good knowledge on the computer and to be fast in our career jobs.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I think the financial aid is really helpful and important for every student. I currently don't get financial aid, because I'm an advanced education student, and I go to college at the same time. Although I'm looking forward to be eligible to get financial aid next year, after graduating high school, which will help me a lot to make my college payments and reach my career goal.

Student Body: There are different types of people in my school. Most of them have part-time or full-time jobs. A lot of them came from different countries, have different ethnicity and different religions. Most students work hard to get the career they want, which encourages each other to study more.
