Academic Flexibility: Academic Flexibility – APUS is very flexible with timing of turning in work, length of courses and any other frustrations that may occur. The instructors only aks that if one can't turn in work on time to contact the instructor begore the due date to discuss the issue.

Academic Experience: English Major – I would assume my work load from my classes are similar to other major because each major consists of several classes in a particular field and the workload depends on how many classes one takes at a time.

Campus Resources: Overall, APUS is a good school. The only issue I have is th eprice of tuition, but it isnt all that bad or different from other schools that offere higher education.

Academic Flexibility: Academic Flexibility at APU – I have found the classes to be quite flexible as well as the ease of credit transfers. I am a student who likes to work way ahead on assignments in order to tweek them as needed and to allow more study time. I was able to do that quite easily.

Overall Experience: The APU Experience – I chose APU because they were the only school that offered a broad range of writing. My passion has always been to write. As a disabled youngish woman that I needed to learn how to write in every genre and format that I could, especially living in a terrible economy. My disabilities should be manageable with time and when the time comes that they are no longer a hindrance, I will then be ready see just what I can do as a writer. APU is giving me foundations that I will need to do just that.

Student Body: Most of the students in my school are Veterans and Active Military personnel.

Online Courses: Online Experience – It was hard at first trying to understand. Once you understood it it was practically very simple. The help on the commuting aspect of going to school is obsolete.

5 College Student

Tuition & Financial Aid: Finacial Aid Office – They were very helpful in answering all of my questions and helping me obtain all of the finacial aid that was offered to me.

5 College Junior

Student Body: Most online classes require discussion board participation. It proves to be a great way to get to know your classmates, and though you aren't meeting people face to face, you're getting to know them on a professional level regardless of their backgrounds.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: Only Online – This is a wonderful way to learn if you work! You don't have a class schedule, so your learning is all on your own time. Just be sure to sign in during the first day of class, then you'll have a timeline as to when assignments are due.

Academic Experience: New Student – So Far I have only had the first class: Foundations of Online Learning, and it seems like a lot of work for the first two weeks. It will take a lot of good time management skills to make this work.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Flexibility and Transferring Credits – My admission process to APUS was simple and organized. Student services and admissions were very helpful. No issues with credit transfers or other required paper work.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Encouraged to Share – Encouraged to share thoughts and opinions about coursework and programs with students, faculty, staff and alumni. Networking
to advance my career and develop longterm professional relatiionships.

Overall Experience: Blessed Am I – I am blessed to have the opportunity to return to college at this time. I am pursuing my MA Psychology program at APUS.
There are many unique characteristics to APUS. First is the exceptional professors and staff assisting me as I pursue my dream. The professors and staff at APUS want the students to succeed and I am treated as a person with respect and kindness.
Secondly, the opportunity to obtain my Masters online and the 24/7 class room is another plus. This school has contributed to my profession and in my personal life. I know APUS is the right school for me.

Campus Resources: Online University – My school focuses on the online technology. All of there degree option are completely online. They do have a physical campus. It is small and there main focus is educating the students. Sports are not focus. Student communication is done again online in their student center and message boards.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Happy and Easy – I am very happy with my school. They are easy to get financed, easy to register for your classes. There is always availability never a waiting list. Everything is at my finger tips including the financial aid department. My school is, in my opinion, stress free.

3 College Senior

Career Services: Pretty much average- haven't really pursued this avenue.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: They are the BEST! Have never had a problem dropping, adding, or getting a class.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: A wide variety of degrees, including many for people with military affiliation, which I think is GREAT!

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Take It Easy! When going to an online school it can be very tempting to try and speed through the process by taking many classes at once. It is better to pace yourself because the courses are not a "walk in the park" and most require a lot of time consuming reading. You will also need to have a good system of time management, as there will not be anyone (professors)reminding you pf what to do and when.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Basically APUS is an online only school so your resources are what you have at home. You must have a computer with a good internet connection. Having a newer operating system (windows xp and up) and updated web browser is important as many of your books will be online only and older versions do not work.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Free Military Education – Active duty undergraduate students are able to earn a degree for free with military tuition assistance. They even have a book scholarship.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: Military Friendly Education – American Public University System/American Military University is very military friendly. The instructors are willing to work with emergent deployment schedules.

5 College Senior

Student Body: My classes are very diverse since we are all over the world in differnt jobs with differnt backgrounds. I have even taken classes while I was deployed. It allows for everyone to feel like they are part of a team without everyone being in the same room due to our jobs. Its awesome!
