Overall Experience: Tighter Social Integration Would Be Beneficial. The school is great, the professors really try hard, but since this is an online university, there is a lack of socialization between the students.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Affordable and Quick! Yeah, these guys are top notch when it comes to FAFSA and everything AID and counseling related!

3 College Senior

Online Courses: Ups and Downs – There are technical issues but the overall it is good. Classes can be challenging keeping up with all requirements. Peer-to-Peer contact can be very limited even with message board access. There are a lot of papers and postings as part of the courses. Most professors are very helpful and communicate, others are horrible like any other school. The low level of actual interaction can be hard sometimes.

Campus Resources: Not Much Outside of the School, Classes, Etc – All classes are online and most books are as well. Even when books are not digital they are included in tuition so no extra fees.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Fairly Easy – Everything is done online. Make sure you upload your forms quickly. They were easy to work with. Downside is they are big on student loans and it's a bit too automated.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Academics APU – I have had a great experience with this school. The work is challenging and I am able to learn, rather than just get pushed through the shuffle.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Class schedule are very flexible, they have helped when I over enrolled in classes and they have the option for longer 16 week classes for classes in which I may need the extra time to complete.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: American Public University – I appreciate everything about my school, they go above and beyond the necessary steps to ensure that I satisfied and the instructors that I have worked with have always been top notch.

College Freshman

Career Services: Not Sure – To my knowledge AMU is not hiring so I am unsure of these opportunities.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: It's on the Individual – Each student puts forward a certain level of effort. Some students put forth more than others but for the most part everyone puts in a lot of effort.

5 College Student

Career Services: They are so helpful. I still have a long way to go before I graduate, but already they are helping me find a job in my field.

Overall Experience: Absolutely Wonderful !!!! I love my school ! The teachers and other staff at APUS are very helpful, and actually go that extra mile to help you. Due to the message boards, you truly do get to know your fellow students, in a way you may not be able to in a traditional college if you are shy. To top all that off, none of these courses are a "bird course". You are not going to fly through them, and I like that because it shows that the school actually cares about what you are learning, and how well you are learning it. However, if you are looking for a school that's an "easy ride", this is not the school for you....

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: This courses are somewhat flexible but I found that my discussion posts were due for both of my classes at the same time, and it's not easy. You have to submit certain word counts for all assignments.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: I've enjoyed the various topics I've experienced throughout my coursework here.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Overall I really like the school. It's even great for active duty military, veterans and reserve personal. People can transfer their military experience into college credit.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Great Education, Affordable. All Around Great School. I like this school and how the classes are set up. The semesters are still 4 months long but the classes are shorter. Each class is 8 weeks long. It is also the most affordable school I've ended, and I've been at 3 different online Universities.

2 College Senior

Academic Experience: You Get What You Put Into It. The material is similar to a B&M school, without contact with the profesors or fellow students, unless you make the attempt and too many don't. I recently took a 200 level class that had more work needed to pass then a 300 level class. They need to understand that most of the students work or are otherwise engaged and sometimes deadlines can't be met. In all fairness they allow some assignments to get a small extention, but then you fall back on what is coming during the current week. hope that makes sense. :)

2 College Senior

Campus Resources: Lack of Instructors Thoughts – Professors or instructors ask you questions, but when you ask them a question on an academic issue they do not respond very well, if at all

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Lack of Grants and No Work Study Possible – Finaid does not go out of its way to try to match you with a qualifying grant of any sort, other tha PELL.

2 College Senior

Student Body: Unfortuneatley distance learning does not lend itself to peer relationships, however, ti is not totally devoid of interaction, you just need to have the desire to reach out. I wish they had a scheduled round table, if that was possible. I am sure it could be done somehow.

College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Little Sticker Shock – A little apprehensive at first, but it is good to know in advance what your fee will be

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Little Difficulty at First – Had a little trouble figuring it out at first, and then not knowing in advance what books I needed when I assumed they would be online. I did not know til AFTER the fact I had to order them myself. A lot of time management is required in order to complete the workload, but once you get on a roll and its manageable

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: At this point in time right now, they have worked with me to get back into school and worked out a flexible online schedule that works for me and my disability.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Very User Friendly – I enjoy attending APUS because I can work at my own pace but yet still have deadlines to meet. So far all my classes have been great to attend and the instructors have been great. Hopefully they will offer a Masters in Psychology by the time I am fiished with my BA, so I can continue attending APUS.

College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I don't have any other credits and I don't really need them to work around my schedule.
