College Freshman

Overall Experience: I like APU i think its a great school and being my first time i did not
arrange my study time from my work schedule, taking to many courses at
one time.but it was a learning experience for a beginner.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The schools financial aid process is very simple, and if you have issues with it your student aid will be gladly to help you out and make the process as painful as it can be.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Main reason I chose this school was because of how flexible the courses are, theres a course starting every month. With having a full time job the school gives me a grate chance in accomplishing my education.

Overall Experience: Over All the Learning Experience Has Been Great but the Career Services for Distance Learning Students Seems to Be a Little Neglected. I do not regret choosing them since I have had some good teachers but as I said before they have a long way to go with their career services for distance learning students.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The campus resources are available at any time. If there is a resource the school does not have then if a student requests information the school will provide it.

3 College Senior

Career Services: Career Center Not Helpful – I have tried to correspond with them to get an help with an internship set-up in my state Florida and they were not able to assist and after a long search I was not able to find one and they were not even able to provide any guidance.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I was slightly nervous but it seemed to dissipate when my professors logged in and were willing to speak to you via phone, email, text, in class...to ensure you understood the material or to answer any questions you have.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Limited Ability to Review – I have perused the campus online library, it seems extensive. Also, I am really loving the book grant!

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Limited Ability to Review – I am currently waiting for my Financial Aid packet to come through. But so far it has all been pretty straight forward.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: I've been very pleased with AMU, and this is my second degree with them.

Online Courses: You Get What You Put in – Most of the teachers will make you work for your grade, but occassionally you get the teacher that makes you feel like no matter what you put on the paper, you're going to get the same grade. Online, it is also easy to fall behind if you dont take the time to put the work in. You will only get out of the class as much as you are willing to put into it.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Most Teachers Flexible – As a military focused institution, these teachers are aware of our hectic schedules and unforeseen deployments, training, or missions. Most teachers are lenient and understanding with late assignments due to these issues, but some are not willing to bend on their due dates. Try to give teachers as much notice as possible, but don't be surprised if they don't give you an extension.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Get FSA as Quick as Possible – Delays in FSA can delay your start to the semester, and some of the paperwork can be confusing. Advisors are very helpful but can only work as fast as the system lets them, so put the effort in early to get FSA done.

Academic Experience: People Not a Number – I gave this college a D+ because they are awful at helping students. I end up having to not be able to attend the next semester because they did not tell me I owed money, and I have loans. I did not know how to schedule my classes so I was not considered full time and had to pay money back. I did not like that.

4 College Student

Overall Experience: Im Happy – I enjoy studying at APUS because its convenient. Most classes are all structured the same way. Books are provided in the classroom as eBooks. There isnt too much work but the student still learns the course material at their own pace. Most classes are fast paced at 8 weeks. This allows a student to obtain their degree quicker than most on-site universities.

3 College Student

Tuition & Financial Aid: The classes are expensive, but that is the price you pay for convenience. The department at the school is helpful and quick to respond to any questions students have. APUS does have a lot of information on the choices of payment and their perks.

3 College Student

Student Body: Too Easy? The course work is almost too easy. It seems like anyone can earn a hundred percent if work is turned in on time every week. For those people who feel like they need to be challenged, APUS isnt for you. There are some people who do not cheat and actually want to learn the course material.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Good Online Research Tools – There are great library and research tools. It is accessible right there on the page where your class is located. It is also easy to access.

5 College Senior

Student Body: Working Class Professionals – The student body at my University is among mostly adults, like myself, that already have their foot out in the real world. So naturally, I can "click" with them when it comes to time management. Plus the professors are understanding when it comes to my schedule. I travel a lot and work a lot of overtime so my time is limited. If I have to turn an assignment in late because of work, my professors understand and are not too harsh.

College Senior

Career Services: I Have Not Had Personal Experience – Currently, I am a working class professional and have no experience with that particular subject. Therefore, I cannot comment.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Pay Close Attention – When it comes to receiving Financial Aid make sure that you pay attention when it comes to your Financial Intent Form. If you wanna apply for classes you have to make sure that you fill out an intent form. I have had some difficulty with this form of action in part because you only fill out the form several times within the course of an entire year. You CANNOT fill out another financial intent form while you are registered for a class. This was why I gave it an A-. Because I had to research a class in order to register for it manually. This presented a problem because I wanted to register early for the course but had no idea when it began. I could not fill out another intent form because I was already registered for other courses.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: Schedule time accordingly. There are assignments, forums, and papers to write for class.

5 College Junior

Student Body: Most Work Full Time – Most work full time and are either prior active duty or current active duty members.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Many Choices – The classes are typically 8 weeks but for tougher classes such as math ot literature they are available in 16 week courses

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: I Am Attending Online but It Had Been a Great Experience – My first time attending online and the proffessors as well as faculty are very timely in response. The classroom interaction it very beneficial, and challenging.
