Online Courses: Registration process is very easy, administration and fin aid representatives are quick in helping with questions and classes are well organized with most instructors doing a great job in assisting the students.

Campus Resources: The campus has resources for research and for submitting papers.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I recently requested an extension, which is common practice due to the 8 week classes, and was denied for no reason. This is the first time this has happened to me. I appealed and was told no again. Very disappointed with the University about this. However, I have stayed enrolled and will continue to pursue my education with them in hopes that this never happens again.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The school was very helpful when I was requesting information for financial aid. I had no problems filing for it and received what I needed. The school's price is better then a regular university for the same degree.

Campus Resources: Acess to the school website is for the most part very reliable. I don't go to a campus as the school is 100% on line, and the campus is not close to me. I can't say what there facilities are like.

Academic Flexibility: I like it because its online. I am currently deployed right now and it is easier to access from a computer. I love going to this school.

Career Services: the job system is mainly based on campus selection.

Campus Resources: We have many military people that are able to bring a lot to conversations with personal experience. Most people have said how much they appreciate the school and professors being very flexible with real life situations.

Online Courses: I was very nervous taking courses online in the beginning, however it has worked out great for me and my schedule! I have been able to make my own schedule for the most part and I enjoy being able to access my work so easily online.

Academic Flexibility: There is plenty of flexibility in the classroom. With flexibility comes responsibility. It is important to keep up with the daily readings and discussions as they are part of the classroom activity and interactions.

Student Body: The typical student enrolled in the University consists of people with families and full-time jobs. There is a diversity among the faculty, staff, and student body. Most of your peers are willing to help you with notes or suggestions in how to better improve your assignments. Everyone is respectful of others opinions and work together to make the classroom an effective environment.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The Financial Aid process was a breeze. I was always able to check online what documents were needed and it was always easy to call and speak with a Financial Aid Counselor. Best experience I have had with a college!

Academic Flexibility: Calling the school is very easy and the staff is great! My teachers are very easy to get into contact with and have always been understanding. I am able to live life while taking classes.

Online Courses: The workload seems to have much more content and workload than traditional classrooms. Most online students don't have time to go to a classroom, but my experience was you can go on a vacation and not miss work or an exam. The convenience out weighs the adversities.

Academic Experience: I was really amazed at how easy the class registration process is, I submitted my application, they took my transcripts, ran them, and then set up an academic plan after I had chosen my major. I can access my academic plan whenever I want, and choose my classes by simply clicking them in my plan. Once registered, I submit my payment and then I can access the course when it opens. They also have many available sections for each course, so I never have to worry about there not being room for my chosen subject.

Academic Experience: I am majoring in Intelligence Studies, but I have yet to take any courses specific to my major. I am focusing on getting all of my general education out of the way. However, I have already had the opportunity to speak with other students majoring in the same thing, and they have told me they enjoy it, don't feel too overwhelmed with courses and the instructors are all really helpful and great.

Academic Flexibility: My experience at APU so far has been wonderful. I was intimidated at first by having to navigate through the classes online but it is not that difficult to figure out. Since I can go into the classroom anytime day or night, I have an advantage because I can juggle my plans around the rest of my life. I also love the fact that some classes use e-books but if I prefer I can obtain a through a vender of my choice. Also, the cirriculum offers me a variety of classes to take with my degree program.

Online Courses: When I first returned to school my classes were all in the classroom. After about two semesters I began ALL online classes. By far, online classes are more difficult. While you can work on your classwork on your own schedule, there are deadlines to meet just as in a classroom, but you do not have the instructor right there to answer questions. You have to post them and wait for a reply. Also, much of your learning is self-taught as you will read and read and read and read some more. Some instructor's use powerpoint presentations but most do not (as far as the ones I have had). Still, I have learned a lot in my classes. I was very nervous about this degree program (intelligence studies) since I have NO experience in that field; but the instructors and fellow classmates welcomed me with open arms. I think I have helped my classmates learn as well since I can give them an outsiders viewpoint. I would definitely do it all over again!

Student Body: The school body is definitely a hard working group. From my past courses I have seen many of them reach out to others to help when needed even offering their assistance. The students also demonstrate good educated academic work with the weekly discussion forums.

Tuition & Financial Aid: AMU/APUS was extremely friendly and helpful with providing me any answers I had to my questions which were very few because there are plenty of resources to read through on the web page. Plus I believe ther tuition prices are in fact the best and you definitely get your money's worth especially if your part of the military.

Online Courses: The majority of courses have been high quality, interesting, and worth-while. Most professors are personable and helpful. Occasionally there will be one who obviously resents being an online teacher and takes it out on those of us who are merely there to learn. Fortunately, they are more the exception than the rule.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is quite reasonable. The financial aid department is great when everything works well, however if there is a problem it takes forever to get resolved. They do no answer the phone, and emails are answered with a form letter that does not address the issue.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: This system works very well for people who are busy in their lives as the classroom is asynchronous. There are certain assignments due on specific days each week, however there is no requirement to be in the classroom at any exact time. It is a very flexible learning method for fitting into a work and/or parenting schedule.

Career Services: I have not yet utilized this service, but have glanced through it. I love that you can look up careers based on your major, and it gives you ideas of places to apply that one may have not immediately thought of. I also love that on the home page, there is always an ad to ensure students are aware of the service.

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: I found it easy to register for online classes, and the online classrooms themselves are simple to navigate. The workload is generally managable, although every once in a while there is a professor who thinks their class is the only one you may be taking. All of the professors I have had so far have done a great job with professor/student interaction. As for the peer-to-peer interaction -- I could do without it.
