Academic Flexibility: I am a single mother that serves in the United States Air Force. The Air Force says "flexibility is the key to Air Power." Well, AMU is flying past the rest of the online schools! AMU's course flexibility has allowed me to gain so much knowledge and I am a handful of classes away from my degree. My best friend also attends AMU and she is nearing completion of her degree. Thanks to AMU's flexibility she has continued her degree through several tours overseas with the US Army.

Online Courses: The courses have been wonderful and the professors have been very professional. Some of the other students were not putting forth full effort, but you are subject to that in any environment. I have been very impressed on how the professors keep the discussion going and how the students are engaged despite the structure of a formal class time/date.

Campus Resources: AMU is an online campus that does not have traditional infrastructure that you would see on a university like gyms, residence halls, etc. However, I think that with AMU the focus is on education and not facilities, but could be a negative for that individual looking for the college experience.

Campus Resources: I have had no troubles with the network at AMU to this point. AMU will schedule black out times for maintenance, but those times did not effect the learning environment.

Campus Resources: Although APUS/AMU is an online university the school provides several resources to help accommodate its students. The first resource and likely the best is the free books, and access to its online library. The second is the flexibility through its online media to provide students the ability to tailor their schedule with their work schedule

Academic Experience: I am a Intelligence Studies BA degree seeker. I have enjoyed the classes and will continue to attend the school.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: It has a vast amount of courses to choose from and to continue your education in the subject you are pursuing. Many upper level courses that challenge you and push you to further your educatio and better yourself.

Campus Resources: I have never had a problem accessing the networks and always have a fast connection

Tuition & Financial Aid: Awesome teachers and the courses are challengin and educational!!!

Academic Flexibility: I appreciate the flexible class schedules as it allows me to schedule the classes around my busy work and life schedules. I also like how it is possible to request an extension for a course if a major life event comes up and coursework isn't able to be completed within the allotted amount of time.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The education that i've received has mostly been paid for through military tuition assistance. I've only just recently tried applying for financial aid assistance to help cover the costs of the classes. The school does a good job in making sure students are aware of any upcoming changes to the tuition costs or associated fees so that we are not caught off guard.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I wish that they had the listing of locations where you can fund your schooling in other ways somewhere on the site for the financial aid. If you do not know the process, the loans seem to be the only way (and they are not).

Academic Flexibility: So far everyone has been very good to work with. The teachers discuss the class work in a very clear manner. The curriculum is straightforward and simple for me to understand without being dumbed down. And the class schedule is rigorous without being exclusionary.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I like the fact that it is completely online and convenient.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: So far the financial aid process has been alright.

College Sophomore

Campus Resources: There isn't a physical campus that am aware of currently.

Academic Experience: All classes fit the degree program and were relevant to the field.

Academic Flexibility: I waited 11 years for this college to offer Federal Financial aid and now I cant wait to start in May. They work to help you the student.

4 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuirion is inexspansive and the books and materials are covered in that cost. The Aid office is very helpful.

Online Courses: As an online only school I have found some classes to be lacking. I took a math class that the professor only graded every three weeks. Made it hard to know if I was understanding the weekly assignments or not. Had a couple other classes where they did not grade in what I felt was a timely manner.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: I was able to get an education here that was unique. There isn't another Government degree online of the caliber. Period.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: There isn't much by way of resources but the library is good. You have all the journals and resources you need for free.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: The network is very solid and up 99.9% of the time. The library is fairly easy to use and has all the journals you need, that are easy to access and all for free.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial Aid is available at APUS at the classes are very affordable compared other leading schools.
