Career Services: Career Center – Although I have not used the career services center yet, I know that when the time comes it will be a huge asset to my life. The career service center will help me prepare my resume and find a job as well.

Campus Resources: Need for a Personal Computer – At AIU Online it is completely necessary to own a personal computer because all of my classes are online. I have had my personal computer since I graduated high school in 2000 and I could use this money to help buy a new, updated computer.

Overall Experience: My overall experience with AIU online has been a great one. I love the flexability with scheduling or ease of attending classes. I can check into class as often or as less as i need and at my own time. As long as i check in once a week. I love the ease of using library resourses and the virtual campus. I can reach my instruictors, fellow classmates or any department through email, live chat or by phone. Administration has been of great help and ever so kind and eager to speak with me.

Online Courses: Online Vs Classroom – I love taking online courses. I don't have to rush to get to class after work. I don't have to cram on my assignments and I can get them done on my own time. I can also communicate with my classmates to discuss assignments. Online courses give you the freedom to work without the pressure of having the professor looming over you and it is very refreshing to be able to work at my own pace.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Willing to Help – Definitely well worth the money. I will be completed with my Bachelors Degree within 3 years of first enrolling at AIU. My advisor was very helpful in completing my financial aid and the financial aid department has paired me with just about every grant or scolarship I am eligible for.

Campus Resources: It took many months for me to find a college that would enable me to keep my demanding work schedule while attending class. AIU-Online gives me that flexibility to attend class on my own time and still have that support system of an on campus college when I need a hand with an assignment.

Academic Flexibility: Instructor Answering Emails – I sent a email to a instrudtor, there was a problem with a group project the email was sent on a friday night, the project was turned in by other menbers of the group who left me off the project due to a dispute. The email came back to me 3 hours after the project was turned in by other members fo the group. Friday night email sent answer Sunday night after project turned in without me. I get a F and had to contact the student advisor as well as going up the chain fo command at the school to be allowed to do this project by my self.

Overall Experience: Why I Would Not Chose AIU Again – I have found that the instructors are not that great, There is a 1 hour live chat once a week. Usually their is 5 to 15 minutes of can you hear me. Very hard to learn from this. I also feel that 5 essays in 5 weeks is not away to actually have any knoledge of a subject. There is no test of knoledge to complete the class. If there was a easy way to change schools I would. They also use alot of APA which guilde lines change depending on instructor. I bought a guild on APA standards, when I followed the standards put out for APA I had one instructor send their own guild lines which don't match the APA standards. So the is APA general standards and instructors own design of APA standards. This has caused a great deal of problems. I have a child who is a english major in the senior year at a very large university that is well known, review my english papers to check for proper stlye depending on the type of essay. This essay checked out to the major university standards instructor standards F. Do not go to AIU online if you are serious about getting a degree and working after, you will be lost in the work place.

Academic Flexibility: Extremely Flexible! You are given your assignments ahead and given many resources. You can do them all at your own pace as long as you are self-disciplined.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Value of Education – I believe that if you are going to school to get an education that you can not put a price on it. I have financial aid and it is a very smooth process. The tuition is affordable at AIU. They also offer a Veterans grant if your spouse or father was in the military. I would pay out of pocket if I had to in order to get my education.

Overall Experience: My experience at AIU-Online has been terrific. AIU has a learning lab where a student can go in and be assessed on a certain subject to see how strong they are in it or how weak they are in it. They also offer a Tutoring lab through Pearson for writing your papers and essays. This has been a very beneficial tool for me because of the communication classes that I have to take.

Online Courses: I Attend Online Classes – I am currently enrolled in the online classes. Since I am a mother it is extremely convenient for me to get my work done on my own time. I can study and read the text when I have the time to do so. If it were not for the online classes I would not be graduating this month with an associates degree. This was the greatest decision I have ever made for me and my family.

Campus Resources: A Change for the Good – One of the main things I really like at AIU is that they have a live chat for your class that you have weekly and its with the teacher and the students in the class and they go over things for the upcoming week and make sure you don't have any questions. Overall the school has great communication with their students, someone is always in contact with you and making sure that you do not have any questions, problems and tell you have great of a job you are doing so far. Its really encouraging.

Campus Resources: Great Resources to Explore and Use for Classes – AIU resources are really great. They have many to look through and use. One of which I have used a couple times is the library. It is very easy to get to and use. The links are easy to get through and the pages are easy to navigate through. AIU also has chat/live chat that makes things a little easier to explain opinions and questions.

Student Body: I have only met a few students face to face. That is because we lived in the same area. However, for other students that were not local were all great people. I understand why there is such a screening process during the application process. Everyone is so possitive. I am a firm believer that you are a product of your environment. If you get a group of possitive and hard working prople around one another, you can not expect anything but success.

Academic Experience: Well, I have never experienced any work assignments that were just overwelming. However the work is challenging. They don't make it easy on you. You definately earn your grade. The instructors are very helpful and willing to bend over backwards to help you succeed. This is an AWESOME school! That is why I returned

Overall Experience: This is my second time attending AIU Online. I received my AA in Business Administration back in 2004 from this school. My experience was so great that I have re enrolled to complete my MBA in Operations Management. I think that says alot about the school itself. Please also keep in mind that I am a single mom of 3 college students of my own. AIU still works very well with my schedule even with a full plate of kids and being a FT employee myself. I would recomment it to ANYONE!

AIU Online is enjoyed by students that have a variety of diverse schedules, backgrounds, and career goals. The school is a wonderful choice for those that want an accredited college degree but have limited mobility and heavy time constraints. The Instructors here are well prepared, enthusiastic, and eager to broaden the minds of their students. At AIU Online, many peers turn into friends, teachers into mentors, and students into scholars.
