Student Body: AIU is very diversified and that is what makes the school unique. There are people from different background, education and just overall age group. I think it is beautiful to be able to interact with people at all levels

Campus Resources: AVAILABILITY 24/7 – One of the things I love about my school is that I can reach an advisor at any given time; i.e. morning, day and night. There are people who are working different shifts and someons is always available to aid whether online or via phone.

Campus Resources: Network Reliability – the network is not always great as there are issues with sound and at times the similarity scores when uploading the information is not accurage; hence, needs improvement. It has gotten better through students complainings etc, but needs more work.

Online Courses: WORK LOAD/Student Relationship – My experience with AIU online has been great. However, I feel that online courses greatly differ from traditional classrom experiences in terms of workload. In my opinion, somehow the work seems to be more online vs. traditional classroom settings. The flexibility of course, to juggle between work and school is more convinient vs. traditional classroom experiences I've had before and the advantages is that with online experiences, there are not a lot of exams but they do substitute with lots of reading, researching and papers, for both discussion boards and individual submitted assignments. Which, in a way tremendously increases your writing capability and research abilities.

With online courses, a person is much more independant and with traditional settings, you have more interaction with people face to face, one-on-one etc. One can depend on each other more so than online. So, there are advantages and disadvantages, but at the end of the day, people choose the online settings for their own conviniences.

Academic Flexibility: Insofar, I have had great experience with AIU across the board. However, I feel that some of the classes under pre-requesite are not really mandated for the field that I have chosen. As far as academic flexibility, it has been grade, but, it all depends on the professors. Some are more flexible vs. others.

Academic Experience: Overall School Experience – In my experience so far, the teachers are more than happy to help out as long as you ask for it. Also, since my schooling is all online the classes are not very large. Because of this my teachers are able to get back to me very quick by either e-mail or phone. The class registration is very simple. When you enroll in the school your entire major is broken down and they assign the classes for you instead of you having to choose which ones you think may be profitable to you later on.

Overall Experience: Satisfaction With American Intercontinental University Online – I am very satisfied with my school. I am a stay-at-home mother of two boys and having a school to work around my schedule and still earn my degree is amazing. If I had to do it all over again I would most certainly choose this school again.

Student Body: I have only interacted with a few of the students online. However, everyone that I have talked to have seemed pretty cool and we have become friends and exchanging information like phone numbers, facebook information. A lot of them I talk to on a daily basis in some form or another.

Online Courses: Interaction Online – Interacting with professors is a little bit more difficult than in a traditional classroom. If we don't make our 1 class a week and we have questions we have to e-mail our professor with our questions. In interacting with our peers, it isn't that bad because we have e-mail and an instant messager for AIU.

AIU Online is enjoyed by students that have a variety of diverse schedules, backgrounds, and career goals. The school is a wonderful choice for those that want an accredited college degree but have limited mobility and heavy time constraints. The Instructors here are well prepared, enthusiastic, and eager to broaden the minds of their students. At AIU Online, many peers turn into friends, teachers into mentors, and students into scholars.
