Tuition & Financial Aid: I think to get my money's worth I would like to be challenged more with more to do.

4 College Senior

Student Body: The interaction I have had with other students has been positive. All that I have dealt with have been friendly, hard working and motivated especially on group projects.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Other than financial aide, classes, instructors and advisors have been flexible with few hassles.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Since I started there are the exact same things for each class, post a discussion board, reply to two others post and either write a paper or do a power point.I would like to see mid week homework assignmens, as well as quizzes and tests. They need more of a variety.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I am disappointed with the financial aide department since you speak to a different person every time and get told different things. Overall professors are great but would prefer a wider variety with assignments including tests, and quizzes.

Online Courses: At AIU they are all about interaction with discussion boards in every class.

Overall Experience: I would feel more comfortable with an online school that did more than discussion boards and writing papers, I would like to take quizes and tests to see how I am doing overall as well as actual homework such as questions that are true, false, multiple choice, etc.I feel that would show me how I am personally doing overall.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition cost is straight forward. The financial aid process is easy, and the advisers are always there to help.

Student Body: The student body of my school is diverse. The students are outgoing and friendly. They really get into the subject, and give each other great feedback on projects, and are deep when it comes to topic discussion.

Career Services: Career services are available to all who need them. The department helps to find opportunities in your home state.

Campus Resources: Labs are available for those who need them, in and out of class. Networking is great, and the speed is as good as what your own system is because it is an online store. The resources are great.

Campus Resources: All the campus resources are great. The student center, and library are easily accessed. There are plenty of clubs to check out, and there is a job fair from time to time.

Online Courses: My school is all online. In a traditional classroom, one must go during scheduled times, or risk failing the course. Online, the student can log into class at a time best for that person. Learning from home, you are more comfortable and therefore can retain more information. The work load is more manageable, and the peer interaction is still there. The professors at AIU all share a commitment to their students to help them to succeed. I rate 10 out of 10.

Academic Experience: Programs that are offered have specialty items included with the package; for instance my program is Criminal Justice, but I was able to add a special interest with Homeland Security and Crisis Management to my curriculum. The teachers are not just book smart, they all bring experience of the subject that they teach to the class. The fact that they have this practical experience helps them to explain the subject better, and have less margin for misunderstanding.

Academic Experience: My curriculum is fascinating. The world of criminal justice is like learning how to put a major puzzle together, and the instructors bring their own field experience to the class. The work load is fast paced at 5 weeks per class, and I get a very good feeling after passing the classes. The online facilities are easily used, and very user friendly. Tech support is offered around the clock to help with any snags along the way. There are internship opportunities, but my internship is included with my transferred credits.

Academic Flexibility: When I enrolled with AIU Online, I thought that I might have to start all over. I already had my AA and thought that my credits might not be transferable. I was wrong, instead of having to do 4 years for my BA, I only had a year and a half. I am almost done because the majority of my credits transferred without any problems. The academic flexibility of AIU is outstanding.

Facilities: As an online school, study time is at the discretion of the student. The facilities are easily navigated, and the student has everything that he/she needs at the click of a finger. If there is any problem, tech support is quick to help with the problem. Scheduled maintenance is announced at least 24 hours in advance, so the student is not caught off guard not being able to log onto campus.

Academic Flexibility: AIU Online is great for continuing education for professionals.

AIU Online is enjoyed by students that have a variety of diverse schedules, backgrounds, and career goals. The school is a wonderful choice for those that want an accredited college degree but have limited mobility and heavy time constraints. The Instructors here are well prepared, enthusiastic, and eager to broaden the minds of their students. At AIU Online, many peers turn into friends, teachers into mentors, and students into scholars.
