Tuition & Financial Aid: The school is very expensive, the financial staff does help as much as they can with giving you all the knowlede of where to apply for financial aid. They do help with applying for student loans. Overall I very please, but there is only so much they can do to assit with the financial aid process.

Student Body: I am new to the school, and so far from what I see and learn I absolutely love. The campus is open, students interact with each other, the staff and instructors are friendly and helpful. Everyone is attending school for the same reason to better their lives with a career they can enjoy and love.

Student Body: My school consists of a wide variety of people. There are some coming directly from High School to some that are in their late 40's and haven't been to school in decades. Religion varies from Catholic to Atheist. Some students are working full time and taking care of families, and others are just students still living at home with their parents. For the most part we all get along and respect each other. Some students have created their social group while others like to stay to themselves and focus less on socializing.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is expensive. Definitely costs more than I would have to pay at a community college, but I chose this school because there were no waiting lists or delays to get right into the program. So it's worth it considering the time it will take to actually graduate. Financial Aid is probably my only complaint about this school. Most of the time they have the wrong information on file, sometimes they even have the wrong balance that I owe so I constantly have to pull out my paperwork from enrollment to prove that their records are incorrect. But usually it gets settled.

Academic Experience: The Vocational Nursing program is known to be one of the toughest and most demanding course throughout the school. We are expected to always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in class and when we are attending our clinical sites. The instructors have a wealth of knowledge that they pass along to us.

Academic Experience: The workload is definitely heavy, but it was made perfectly clear to me prior to registration that this accelerated program would be very fast paced and demanding. The instructors do their best to make difficult nursing concepts understandable, but I think my grade heavily relies on self discipline and good time management. I love this school because I know that many of the staff here are genuinely concerned with our success, but it's definitely not a care free school. I've have to work hard to maintain my GPA!

Campus Resources: We are given the opportunity to get hands on experience in different types of facilities. Ranging from Long term to Pediatrics. I like the fact that we are able to discover the type of nursing we will be comfortable working in through personal experiences, instead of on campus.

Campus Resources: The computer network is real good on campus. I like the fact that we are able to complete our assignments at home as well.

Academic Flexibility: I first came to terms with this school because of my grandmothers nurse. He was a student at American Career College. He gave good recommendations, and claimed that he secured a job placement before graduation. I took his words into consideration. Once I came onto campus, and was introduced to the people whom would me assisting me. I knew then that, that school was for me. So far I am enjoying the school. We have a lot of hands on with real patients, at real facilities. We gain the hands on experience, that other schools lack. We are given the opportunity to visit number of facilities, that specialize in different criteria. So that we as students can find what type of nursing we will enjoy working in.

Campus Resources: The campus is clean, orderly and professional looking. There is a library and computer lab on campus. There are several places on campus, to eat and relax during breaks.

Academic Flexibility: The only main concern about this college is that there are no breaks, but it's a 13 month class, so the speed is fast-paced.

Campus Resources: There isn't any athletic centers, but the resource center gives a very nice opportunity to study and do some last-minute research.

Campus Resources: A very nice place to learn, the only downside is that the clinicals were far. Sometimes it would get too loud, because it's too close to the freeway. It's a really safe environment thou, with security guards walking around the perimeter.

Academic Experience: I haven't fully started the program yet but let me tell you that my adviser is amazing and he also responds to my emails and calls when I have a question or concern. The financial aid office was nice but it is always disappointing going in there knowing you do not get any financial assistance. I have received my course outlines and they look hard! I am so excited that I will be pushing myself to a new limit and finally starting with one of my dreams.

Campus Resources: The student center has some really sweet nice people, but then there's the occasional one or two people that seem to hate their life ! The school isn't too clear on who to talk to or where to go about things so you just always go to the same person who helped you last time. There isn't a library that I know of.

Campus Resources: Surgical tech program at my location doesn't seem to be much of a social group. We don't do the food gatherings like the other programs do. We don't have drives like the other programs do. We are a bit more focused and less "social life" within the campus. But I like it this way.

Online Courses: We only really watch surgeries online. So in my program it was very relevant to the "real world".

Academic Experience: In all honesty I would say a C- but that purely based on my experience here. Most of my classmates love the majority of the instructors. It's possible I am a bit sensitive when it comes to how teachers talk to me. When you have an issue the instructors seem pretty stand off-ish. Saying how you have to talk to the program director about that, or talk to so and so about this. There's a lot of pointing fingers and not a lot being done until you are on the verge to explode from the frustration. Failing one class pushes your graduation date 6 months back... yes SIX months back. So it's frustrating making sure that they didn't forget to enter in your grade at the end of the quarter (like they did with me!). You don't find out your schedule until either 3 days before the next quarter or if your lucky two weeks in advance. That's all. They are SUPER slow at making the new class schedules for the next quarter.

Academic Experience: It's tough. I'm taking surgical technology and the workload isn't horrible, but the memorization part of it will get you. There is a lot of memorizing to do in that major. They give you this book at the beginning of the program and it literally becomes your bible. If you don't read it and reread it, you won't memorize or understand it. The differences you have to remember between instructors can be difficult. You have to remember that it's okay to do certain things with one instructor but if you do the exact same with another, you can fail the class/exam.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Although I love the education I am getting from the college, I do not like some of the teaching styles that goes on with general ed classes. Instructors put a lot of emphasis on attendance, which to me it really bothers me. If I'm late, I'm late... no need to announce to the class and bring down my grade 1% every time I'm 2-3 minutes late. I do wish that the school would ask/ let you know that if you've taken the general ed courses at a community college, that it DOES transfer to ACC. No need to retake psychology, math, and English if you already did! But you have to mention that BEFORE you sign the financial aid.

Academic Experience: I loveeeeee American Career College! Everyone, and I mean everyone, I have met from instructors to office personnel to students are serious about education. There is a variety of ways to get extra help if you feel you need it. All the instructors are extremely caring and really want you to succeed and do well. The schools main focus is to teach students how to be PROFESSIONALS in every area. and they train us to be proficient in the area we want to work in.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The Financial Aid Office was great, they helped me when I thought I had no options and gave up. The Girl who helped me ( I cant remember her name of the top of my head) did such an amazing job. She got my whole loan covered and I did minimal to contribute, just filled out the FAFSA. Theyre great and they really want to help you if you are serious about attending school.
