Academic Experience: physical therapy is a good field is a good career to get into, it takes time but in the end it will pay off there is such a demand for it and good money

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: you really have to talk to your instructors about whats going on in your daily life and they may work with you, but some are strickly to the book

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I wish the staff was more helpful when first starting college, because its nothing like high school. its all about how much effort you are willing to put toward your career and there is no turning back. You don't get time to slow down and make up any work either.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I am able to keep a part time job, go to school, and do other things in my spare time because the flexibility is so amazing.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: The classes offered are amazing and the professors are great.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Sometimes the Professors are a little mean or hard on their students but the relationship is really personal when they're good.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is very reasonable. However besides your pell grant they really dont help you find any other grants that could help you pay for school if you dont qualify for a pell grant. The financial aid office seems to be busy procesing other things and dont have time to sit down and help you find extra financial aid.

Campus Resources: Amarillo College has many resources for students. Given that this is a 2-year community college, I was very impressed by the number of programs that they have to offer. The have 3 campuses here in Amarillo. The main campus has all of your science, art, engineering, and mass comm. They also have a gym, a large library and they have two museums. The west campus located in the medical district houses all the medical programs. The east campus has all of the equipment to teach trades, such as welding and plumbing. Overall Amarillo College is a very impressive school.

3 College Junior

Student Body: The student population consists of people fresh out of high school trying to transfer to a four year university.

College Junior

Career Services: I have not graduated from this college so I have not had an experience with this.

5 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Its designed well and all it takes is effort from the students.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Professors aren't very flexible on late homework but other than that they are great

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The labs are great and almost every building has a computer lab for all the students to use.

5 College Sophomore

Career Services: They are helpful and will work with you until they find what works for you.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is much cheaper than other alternatives, such as the four-year university in the next town.

The FA department is super helpful and financial assistance is really easy to apply for at AC.

Campus Resources: We're a two-year community college, but our journalism program, our nursing program, our theatre program and the various art programs are top notch.

Also, because of our massively diverse community, the college has an equally diverse student body - both in regards to ethnicity and age.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: There are literally open computer labs in every building. You can print in most labs for free or a small fee. And the wifi is exceptional.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: There are many resources on campus. Carter Fitness Center offers a variety of classes and things like Badger Fit nights. Lynn Library has multiple work stations and computers, a lab where you can print docs and helpful staff. There are many computer labs on each campus that are open to students. The advising staff usually goes above and beyond to help students that are interested in helping themselves. Community Link provides resources to students who need help getting started and may need things like ESL and GED prep classes.
The only thing that the campus lacks is better food service. This was especially noticeable during recent extreme weather. A handful of vending machines just doesn't cut it and it's a pain to have to decide if something from the machines will suffice or if it's worth losing your parking space to go off campus for sustenance.

5 College Senior

Student Body: The student body is very friendly, caring, and care about the successfulness of their fellow classmates.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: There are always numerous resources at Amarillo College and always staff there to help.

Career Services: I feel that Amarillo College is a perfect community college and I started here in January 2010. I love it here and I have had no issues with anyone either that includes classmates and Professors. I need for everyone to understand that Amarillo College has changed my life in so many ways and I walk the stage on May 10th 2013. I am going to miss this college so much and for so very many reasons. If you are looking for a wonderful, affordable, friendly atmosphere please choose Amarillo College and I owe it all to my favorite Professors of all time, Professor Farmer, Professor Johnson, Professor Uselding, and the entire Engineering Department, I love you all and will always come visit!!!!

3 College Freshman

Career Services: Since I'm planning to transfer to a university after I finish my basic's. I am really not sure if this college is a helpful source after graduation.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I'm an accounting major and I'm just planning to get my basic's finish in this college and later transferring to an university. I really haven't check for any program in this college that will help me for my major since I'm planning to transfer.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Overall the classes provided are good enough to help the students get through their basic classes needed for their career. The teachers are willing to help any student needing help in the material they teach. Then the best part is the low prices on the classes. It is an affordable college for anyone that wants to get started in a career.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I haven't had any frustrations with the school since I started. The student life, faculty, and grounds are all nice to be around.
