Tuition & Financial Aid: Aid Department – This part was the most confusing for me and they helped me out with everything. They don't really have time to help you on the phone but if you come in they sit down and walk you through it.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Every time I visit the advising department they are always quick and they always help you through every step of the process.

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: Online Speech – I took my first online class this past sememster. I was surprise at how easy it was. Everything was simple to find and easy to communicate with my instructor.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I'm an advertising major that recently switched from graphic design. My program is awesome. So far I have had amazing teachers, great hands on experience and have met some pretty cool people. The teachers understand when life happens and so far I haven't had any classes where they haven't.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Im Just Here to Learn! So far my experience has been ok. The classes are good, but just like any small town college student i am just ready to be done!

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Friendly, Efficient School – I love the small campus that offers big choices. Classes that support the economic development in the area as well as giving opportunity to move forward.

College Sophomore

Career Services: Post-Grad Services – I personally do not know of any post grad services. I'm sure they exist, but I decided not to look too much into it until closer to the time of my degree.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Uniqueness of AC – The main thing that sets Amarillo College apart from other colleges, even other community colleges is it's Graphic Desing program for print, animation, and web design students. They have a specific program for GD students to help them succeed. They're also really good at scheduling around work schedules or family time.

Overall Experience: At Amarillo College, we have amazing teachers that know what they're teaching. The student's are nice and the staff is always helpful. There's free tutoring for certain subjects, which beats having to pay for a private tutor by far. There's a wide variety of majors and certificates you can go there for, and the tuition pricing can't be beat. It may not be the perfect school, but I can't name any that even compare

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Online Classes – Online classes are very convenient for me. I'm a single mom with an 8 mo old boy so it helps me be able to go to school. In most classes there is a bit more work in online then there is in the actual class at school.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Online classes were not for me. I like to be in the lecture and participate in class. Online classes are not for me cause I can read a book and tell you little about it but if I can hear someone talk about it and discuss it then I can retain it

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: This is a school that is willing to work with you on getting your education. Very Friendly. Some of the teachers are outstanding and are there to teach and get their students what they need to help get them through and not just give it to them but make them work for it.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: Easy at Your Finger Tips. The online system is very self explanitory and easy to use.

Student Body: Online Discussion Posts – I am currently taking all online courses. The most interaction I get from the student body at Amarillo College is through the discussion posts done for most of the courses I have enrolled in. Most of the post are done because the post are required; not because the students want to discuss something.

Academic Flexibility: I can hardly ever find a class I need to take at a convenient time for me.

Overall Experience: My School Experience ( College ) – I decided to attend college after my family business failed miserably, putting my family out of lots of money and me into a new job, actually 2 of them. I soon realized I could barely make enough money to survive. So I applied to my local community college. I found out it was a ridiculous amount of money, and I am currently still trying to come up with the funds needed to finish my degree. As it turns out I am not eligible for any scholarships or grants, and I haven't been able to get a student loan or financial aid. My classes seem designed to take your money and try to make you fail, ( for more profit when you repeat the class ). The overall subject of the classes seem to be geared more towards going through the motions, rather than actually teaching you something you can use in life. I do have to admit I have learned to mimic some behaviors of my psychology teacher, because I saw how easy it was for him to manipulate the class to believe his clams, without care for any other refuting evidence, or even the care to look for any. Overall I would still choose my same school, because its the only college I can afford locally.

Academic Flexibility: Flexibible It Is – Amarillo College is very flexible with class scheduling. I am a single working mom.I have had no issues with finding the class that I need to take that works around my work schedule.Amarillo college provides, day, night, and even online classes.I have not had any experience with transferring classes but they have been real informative in letting me know which classes will transfer to a University.

Overall Experience: I have been enrolled at Amarillo College since January 2010 and they have been very interested in me and my plans for my future. The advisors are very helpful and concerned about every aspect of my life and it has really helped me succeed in alot of areas throughout my career. This school is a very good school and I love everything about it, including my professors because they have worked hard to help me accomplish my dream goals and are always by my side to help me in any way they can possible.

5 College Student

Career Services: Truthfully, being so new to this college, i am not sure what kind of post-grad opportunities they provide.

5 College Student

Student Body: Most of the students at Amarillo College are either small town adults with children and full-time jobs or small town teens just out of high school. Either way, everyone is friendly and dedicated to their studies.

Campus Resources: I actually just barely moved here from Seattle about two mnths ago and this is my first semester here at this school. But so far I love it! The professors are all friendly and knowlegeable about their subjects (which is more than I can say for some other colleges) and everything is organized, clean and easy to find. I look forward to continuing my education here.

College Junior

Student Body: Most students are non-traditional students with many responsibilities outside of school such as jobs, families, community involvement, etc. Also, many students commute from outlying communities.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Online Classes – Online classes are the way to go! There is no set class time, and you do get a chance to participate in class discussions via message boards and emails.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: A Step Above the Rest – Simply outstanding! It is so easy to get Internet access anywhere on campus. No complaints here.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Just Not My Style – Amarillo College makes many attempts to involve their students, but it simply isn't my style. Many students say, "I'd never leave if it were a four year school." Yet, I really want a university college experience. Nothing to complain about just not "my style".
