5 College Senior

Academic Experience: these teachers take time in teaching you what you need to suceed

Career Services: they help you choose your career, once that is done they guide you until your transferring year

Academic Experience: I'm currently getting my general studies degree but the curriculum also lines up with the business management degree so when I graduate I'm getting both. Because most of the general studies classes are in the same building and the campus is so small, many of the same professors teach multiple classes. I've had my favorite professor for both histories, governments, and philosophy!

Academic Experience: My little community college offers a lot of different 2 year degrees along with many trades but specializes in the nursing program. Registration was super easy and the choice of professors is great besides the 'faculty' option when registering for classes, then you never know who you're going to get which could be great or horrible.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is affordable but the difference in out-of-district and in-district is about 50% which I think is steep. Although I have yet to use financial aid I hear lots of problems from other students about how difficult the process is and constantly having to follow up to figure out if they qualify and when they will get the assistance.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: the teachers basically teach everything you need to know for your tests and quizzes, if you dont pay attention, you will fail.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: All the resources are available and no charge, it is just up to the students to use them.

Academic Flexibility: Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. The school has no more unusual or extra hoops to jump through than any other school.

5 College Junior

Student Body: My school has people from every level. We have mothers whose on children are now in college, young, single mothers like me, every ethnicity. It has a very broad spectrum of students and that is very comforting to me.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: Unlike some Community schools, this one always has something going on for the student. I think it's awesome that they have food and things set up specifically for the night students.

5 College Junior

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: So far the first two weeks of the semester have been great.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: The class schedules are very flexible for the core classes. Of course as you get deeper into your major, their are only a couple different times you could take the specific course, which is understandable. I love my school!

Online Courses: Managing Time – While taking online courses you learn more than just what the class is teaching. You have to teach yourself discipline, time management, and you have to try even harder than when taking a class at the school.

5 College Junior

Student Body: Alvin community college has a very diverse student body. Their are students of every race ethnicity and they all are unique in their own ways. It;s easy to make friends and there is always someone to help.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I'm Glad I Chose ACC – I live near by and work near by as well, so the convenience is great. I love the campus and student body. The fact that theres such a variety of people and it is convenient, makes it a great place. Several apartments are located nearby for students since there is no on campus dorm rooms. The support staff is okay, but the instructors are overall, pretty good. I am pretty focused on getting my degree, so I don't take too much time to make friends, but do enjoy my school.
