The sororities at Alverno are not typical Greek life organizations. In fact, sororities at Alverno are just "normal" student groups, which makes it tough because becoming an official student group at Alverno is hard because there are a lot of hoops to jump through. Not to mention, Alverno has a lot of students who commute or are nontraditional, so having a sorority on campus would be really hard since there aren't even 200 students who live on campus.

There are students at Alverno who are part of these "sororities," but they are rarely active on campus. Some students choose to be part of sororities off campus, which still gives them the traditional Greek life experience. These sororities are also a great way to meet people at other colleges in the Milwaukee area.
