3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I haven't had any experience with the health services so I wouldn't know anything about the quality of the service. The safety on campus however is really good, officers/security are always visible, making the campus feel much more safe.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: The city that the college is located in is a lot busier and populated than the city I am originally from so it's harder for me to get around, because I've only been there a semester I'm still learning.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The financial aid process is a very east process. The people are extremely helpful and are always willing to help.

3 College Freshman

Computers: The computer availability around the entire campus is really good, bringing a laptop isn't necessarily a necessity because of the availability of computers. The wireless access and speed however is extremely poor. Living in the dorms is irritating at times because of that.

College Freshman

Greek Life: My school does not have sororities, all sorority activities and groups have to take place off of the campus

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Overall housing at the college i attend is okay, it's not great but it isn't bad either. It is pretty clean most of the time and very spacious but it is boring at times

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I love Alverno. When I walk across the stage in two semesters it will be one of the proudest moments in my life. Yes it may not be a party school and parking is limited but the education you receive by far exceeds anything else. Alverno is known for results and is of the best educations in the Midwest, so everyone complaining about all the petty little things, maybe you need to transfer.

4 College Senior

Parking: The parking at Alverno is close but limited. With a campus only a block big what the heck do you people expect?

5 College Senior

Scholarships: The financial aid process is simple and quick.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: Alverno is maybe not the biggest party school but it is a great school. We barely have any safety issues and security is always willing to help you out.

3 College Junior

Facilities: Could use some renovation but everything is okay.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Many opportunistic for group/organization involvement.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Could definitely use more options closer to campus.

3 College Junior

Computers: Could definitely use expansion in the computer lab.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I live off campus, so I have no idea how the dorms are, but many girls live in the dorms.

4 College Junior

Diversity: Very diverse groups on campus and offer tons of support!

4 College Junior

Majors: Great options for choosing a major.

4 College Junior

Majors: I am a nursing major, it is extremely demanding and hard but I feel that I will be knowledgeable and not have a problem finding a job after graduation.

4 College Junior

Academics: Very tough curriculum but very thorough.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: No problems of drug and alcohol abuse have been reported that I know of on campus.

1 College Junior

Guys & Girls: It's a woman's college so there are many if you like that...as far as guys...none except the one's that work there.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I am not in any of the Greek clubs but they are available and open to all.

3 College Junior

Parking: The parking is free and it's not too far from where classes are held, way better than the bigger universities.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: Pretty strict when it comes to the important things.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Need more things to do and restaurants closer to campus.

Most students who have made it through the majority of their years at Alverno say that they cannot imagine being anywhere else. In fact, many students who leave Alverno to go to other schools because of finances or because they didn't think Alverno was a good fit, often come back. Alverno is not just a school—it's a place that teaches women to think outside of the box and to understand themselves. It becomes a home for many people. Alverno graduates go on to become important women in their workplaces, communities, churches, and homes. The College offers students a unique opportunity to take a really good look at themselves and say, "Who am I?" and "Is this who I really want to be?"

Most people say that going to college is an investment in your future, but coming to Alverno is an investment in not only your future, but also your community's future. Almost all students who graduate from Alverno get a job within six months of graduation. Its graduates are competent, well-rounded, and have made a name both locally and internationally. At Alverno, students are pushed to analyze documents, literature, and one another. They are also encouraged to continuously self-assess and focus on their success.
