Parking: I love that I don't have to pay for parking! Everywhere else in Milwaukee makes you pay for parking!

Parking: Try to make it to school 10 mins before your class – Do try to make it to school at least ten minutes before you have class. Even though we have a parking structure, it still takes a few minutes to walk down from the fourth floor if that is the only place to park.

4 Niche User

Parking: Recently Alverno College had a parking garage built on campus! This rocks because I live on campus and it is much easier now to finding parking spots! People used to have to park on the street and in the surrounding area.

Campus Strictness: I feel safe – I like knowing that when I come back to the dorms after being out that I am safe. Knowing there are cameras at all the entrances makes me really feel safe. I don't think they invade our privacy at all. Just keep us safe.

Campus Strictness: CAs are a mixed bag – CAs can be a little overboard with watching residents but some of them are never around. It really depends on which floor you're on or who your CA is. Some of them are cool about rules and some of them are just ridiculous. Although they are just doing their job.

Campus Strictness: Rules make me feel safer – Students think the rules for living in Austin Hall are stupid- no boys after 2 am or guests can only spend so many nights per semester but it makes me feel safe. Students can't just walk into the dorms without signing in so it's not like all the college shootings you hear where random students walk into dorms and shoot someone.

3 Niche User

Campus Strictness: Follow rules while living on campus – I haven't had problems with the rules personally but I do know people who have had issues. People just need to follow the rules if they want to live on campus.

2 Niche User

Campus Strictness: The rules can be frustrating – Living on campus is pretty strict because students can't leave their guests in their rooms. Which is kind of ridiculous. I think that the rules are frustrating because they don't allow for a lot of leeway.

3 Niche User

Campus Strictness: Driniking under age is not allowed on campus at all – Drinking under age is not allowed on campus at all. When my roommate was over 21, she was able to drink in the room with the door shut. A couple years ago someone puked on my rug and threw it out. There is this idea that if you are going to get drunk, don't come back to campus. Which is nice.

3 Niche User

Campus Strictness: Sometimes I think Alverno is a bit overly strict. With students who have special issues, they are not necessarily understanding and there is a lot of favoritism. Some students get personal favors from faculty while others are not given consideration.

4 Niche User

Campus Strictness: People are respectful of their living spaces – Unlike a lot of my friends, students that live on campus are not fined for damages to hallways. Mostly because students are respectful of their hallways, common spaces and their rooms.

1 Niche User

Campus Strictness: The rules are stupid – The rules are stupid. I am going to move to Clare next year so I can have boys spend the night. As a freshman, you have to live in Austin Hall. In Austin Hall, all your guests have to be signed in with an ID. It ticks me off because I'm an adult and I should be able to do what I please.

3 Niche User

Campus Strictness: Yes, there are more rules at Alverno than most colleges. The Alverno College campus is smoke-free. In Austin Hall, boys are not allowed to sleep over. However, all the rules have reasoning behind them. I also like that there aren't drinking parties on campus where we have to worry about our friends underage drinking.

5 Niche User

Drug Safety: There are drugs on campus? There are drugs on campus? I guess I haven't really experienced them.

5 Niche User

Drug Safety: If they do it, they don't do it here – People if they do it, they don't do it here. There are people who come back smashed or high but if they are caught repeatedly, they are put through AA or other drug treatment programs.

4 Niche User

Drug Safety: Really hidden drug scene – Drug Scene? It's really hidden. I know there are drugs on campus but most people are at least respectful enough to not do them here.

4 Niche User

Drug Safety: Not really a big drug problem – A couple of years ago there was a girl who vomited on my carpet outside my dorm room and threw it away. She didn't get into trouble or anything. Other than that, I don't see drugs on campus.

5 Niche User

Drug Safety: Drugs just aren't prevalent on campus – I know girls that live on campus that smoke weed but they don't do it on campus. Drugs just aren't prevalent on campus. I think Alverno has done a good job of banishing drugs: they even got rid of tobacco on campus!

4 Niche User

Drug Safety: What drug scene? None. I have not experienced any drugs on campus. People do smoke cigarettes in their cars even though it's against the rules.

4 Niche User

Drug Safety: Zero tolerance – Drugs and drinking on campus are not tolerated at all. There are students living on campus who are of age and allowed to drink. They are allowed to do so as long as it doesn't happen in the dorms or anywhere on campus. If they are found with alcohol on campus, they will suffer the appropriate consequences. Drugs, however, are not tolerated at all. There is a zero tolerance policy for drug use on campus. Drug use will result in immediate dismissal from the campus and is reported to the local authorities.

4 Niche User

Drug Safety: It's a pretty clean campus – Aside from sometimes randomly smelling pot in the dorms, which is hardly ever, there isn't really a drug scene. There's not a group of people who hover around doing drugs, if anyone does, they tend to keep to themselves. It's a pretty clean campus.

3 Niche User

Drug Safety: ehhhh...sometimes Clare smells like pot, but other than that...

3 Niche User

Drug Safety: Subtle but present drug scene – Let's just say that if I didn't work with food here on campus I might not have known that there was a drug scene on campus.

2 Niche User

Greek Life: Sororities mean lots of drama – There is kind of this rivalry between some of the sororities. Lots of drama. People who are looking for the real experience should not look at Alverno for sororities.

1 Niche User

Greek Life: What Greek life? Sometimes we have Greek food in the commons!
