Overall Experience: It's Is AMAZING Here – I LOVE my school. It's always things to do, people to spend time with and everyday we all create memories together. My school is my second family.

Local Atmosphere: So Much to Get Involved in – Alverno College always has some type of event going on. Almost 100% of the events are free. The college's Coffehouse is called The Mug. The mug has free entertainment every Wednesday Night for residents in both dorm, faculty and friend and family of Alverno students.

Greek Life: Since Alverno is a Women;s College there are only Sororities on campus. There are about 8 of them. There are newly created sororities as well as sororities that have been around for 100 years active on campus.

Off-Campus Dining: Most Restaurants are fast food places like Mcdonald's, Sonic, and Taco Bell. There are also places like Papa John's pizza, Jimmy John's, Buffalo Wild wings, I-Hop, and Omega which is a greek restaurant.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: Our Campus is Very diverse and very accepting of students from various ethnic, social, and religious background. I enjoy attending this College because the people are so welcoming and accepting.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: All of our Facilities are easily accessible and availiable are reasonable times for both student and faculty to enjoy them.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Punishments Are Appropriate. Punishments for various things are always appropriate. I have never witnessed a time when an individual was given a punishment that was too severe or too lienient.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments Near Campus – These apartmenta are of a good quality and are relatively spacious. Neighboors are very respectful and friendly. This is a good area, becuse it is quiet and aesthically beautiful.

Local Atmosphere: Amazing Surrounding – The school itself on my visit was amazing. The location was very easy to get around. There is a lot of shopping centers near Alverno and also a movie theatre, which is great. The culture of the school is very well rounded, there's people from all different ages and backgrounds that attend Alverno and I think that's very cool. Too see women I'm your class that's mothes and possible grandmothers is also great, it really just reminds you that you're never to old to achieve your dreams!

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Great Variety – There are many places of variety to eat off campus. They have various asian cusine, fast food, sit down, and late night dining options. Some of my favorite places are the ones that are open late because if i have to pull an all nighter i know they will be there to satisfy the hunger of others.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Things Are Great, but I Could Change Somethings – I love Alverno, but some of the teachers are not willing to work with your situation that you have at hand, and it causes issues with trying to pass classes.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Good Amount but Could Use a Little More Help – I recieve a fair amount of aid, but i could use more since my mother is disabled and i can not work full time during the school year, it would help if things were a little less expensive i would not have such problems finding money.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: World Wide – Alverno is a very diverse place, they actually strive in a way to have a lot of diversity in the school. they link up with other countries, and have a lot of exchange students come visit Alverno, and vise-versa. this school is very diverse and as soon as you step in a classroom you see that right away.

5 College Sophomore

Parking: Alverno has a lot of places were the students can park. The spaces are quite big so there is always a spot open for anyone who wants to park. I think that the only times were parking issues arise is in the beginning of the semester and when there are events happening on campus, other than that its great.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Alverno is an all girls school, so technically there is no way for me to compare girls and guys in school. I personally think that the girls in school may be in the middle, some are really nice and say hi! down the hall. Others really do not care an just go about with there regular days. Over all I think that the girls at Alverno are okay, they try there best and mostly they are more focused in getting all their work done so that they can graduate in time.

5 College Freshman

Campus Dining: There are so many different food options at Alverno and many places to eat. The cooked meals are like mom's and the grilled options are excellent. There are also many options for health-conscious people and vegetarians.

5 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Cultural Mecca – Alverno atmosphere includes lots of on campus activities from sports, art, theater & dance to lots of volunteer activities. Close enough to shopping and within miles of shopping centers, fitness locations (including on campus) and a short bus ride from Milwaukee's downtown area and lakefront. Summer is filled with various charity walks, educational seminars and cultural festivals, including SummerFest - the largest concert series nationwide.

2 College Freshman

Greek Life: Im not into the Greek life here. We don't have much of a variety with the greek life. If we had sorirty's that I was interested in here, I would pledge

3 College Freshman

Academics: There are many oppurtunities avaliable here at Alverno. Most proffessors are understandable, the cirriculum is different than any other school, the workload is appropriate and there are many special stufy options. the most popular are of stufy here is nursing.

3 College Freshman

Computers: The computers here are up to date. There is a lab in the basement of my dorm, a few in the the other dorm, computer lab next to the library, computers in the library, a big lab of computers in the main building. and if you dont want to use an alverno computer, there are outlets everywhere for you to plug your lab top up.

4 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus dining offers a great variety. The Campus is close to local restaurants from Mc Donalds to Family Dining

4 College Student

Computers: Computer Labs – The Computer lab offers a variety of PC's to work on from Windows Desktops to Macs. They allow you to Check out a laptop if needed. The lab itself is quiet and comfortable. Network is reliable.

4 College Freshman

Weather: Here in Wisconsin, we have a lot of snow during the winter. Alverno is pretty good letting students know when classes cancel ahead a time thru via text message and via email. When it rains, sometimes i have a difficult time finding a parking spot closer to the building where i have class so i wont get wet.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I dont live in the dorms, but the people who i know live in dorms dont complain about them. I hear the upperclassmen dorms are better equipped and much more classier, than the freshmen and sophmore. The only thing they mostly complain about is the price of living on campus.

1 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Dining in at Alverno is way more expensive than eating out in a fast food restaurant. Menus have a variety, but the more healthier the options are,the more expensive the food gets.

In fact, many students who leave Alverno to go to other schools because of finances or because they didn't think Alverno was a good fit, often come back.
