Local Atmosphere: Alvernia University is located right near the inner city of Reading. It is in close proximity of the Vanity Fair outlets and the Berkshire Mall. Other attractions include many restaurants such as Queen City Diner which is about 5 miles from campus. It is generally a quite campus that is located in the back of several neighborhoods. The local attitude toward students is relatively optimistic and accepting.

Local Atmosphere: I love my campus and the atmosphere that it holds. I feel so welcomed, always and I look forward to being there for the next two years.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Alvernia is located pretty much in between the city and a small community. The city is always busy and there can be some rough patches. The community, on the other hand, is very scenic and enjoyable to be in. Either way, there are always places to go and new things to see all around the campus.

Local Atmosphere: I don't know if you have ever been to Reading Pennsylvania but it is not really a beautiful place. It can be dangerous in certain areas which is always a downside but there are up sides to it. There are some neat sites to see and some pretty scenery around campus. However knowing you are so close to an unfortunate area is a downside.

Local Atmosphere: At Alvernia University they have a great scenery. Which isn't that far from our rivalry school Albright University. Reading could be a huge or a small town. i don't know didn't spend a lot of time there.
