3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: some of the resturants are wonderful and some are just god-awful. so I guess it evens it out.

Scholarships: financial aid was okay for me, but I know my sibling had a difficult time with it.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Campus housing is wat is expected of an old private school. They are working on newer buildings but that is for upper class-men.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Almost everyone is involved in athletics regardless of how good we are.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus housing is not common because scholarships are reduced 25% when not on campus.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: The Frats are the only places where there are parties.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: The Rec Center is always doing something as is the Union Board that hosts a lot of the campus events.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: We have one the most delegations in Model UN history. Professors are also really great at networking and have assisted in getting people great jobs out of college.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Alma doesn't have a history of security concerns, but more recently there have been a few incidents on campus.

3 College Freshman

Weather: The weather has never really been a bother. Campus is so small that walking in the cold to class isn't a big deal.

2 College Freshman

Campus Dining: It is really hard to find food especially with a dietary restriction.

5 College Freshman

Academics: Alma has so many great things to offer. The professors are some of the smartest people I have ever met who are truly looking out for the interests of their students. Things like the writing center and free tutors are also great resources to take advantage of!

5 College Freshman

Majors: Academic Advisors keep you on track for the numerous majors offered. If there still is not a major that is of interest, creating majors or programs of emphasis is allowed and actually encouraged.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: There is not a lot of diversity at Alma. The college realizes this and are trying to advertise in ways that will draw different population to the school.

3 College Freshman

Computers: There are lots of computer labs throughout campus the only thing that is difficult is that the computer labs in the dorm require your own paper for printing.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: No one ever dresses down. Classes are taken very seriously and everyone is very dedicated to thriving. Athletics, the arts, and greek life are big aspects at Alma and almost everyone is involved.

3 College Junior

Computers: There are a number of computer labs both Mac and PC's for students to use. Printing is free but copies will cost you five cents a copy. The tech support is not generally all that helpful and the internet can be spotty and slow. The cell phone service in a number of the buildings is almost non-existent.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: The financial aid process can be difficult but the business office is usually willing and able to answer any questions you have. Scholarships beyond that of the normal academic types are few and far between.

4 College Junior

Athletics: All sports teams are respected and enjoyed by students and faculty. While there are a few big crowds at important games, it is still hard to get a large support of students at sporting events.

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus living is great for students it is difficult to obtain. It seems that the school punishes students for living off campus by reducing scholarship rewards by fifteen percent for students who choose to live off campus. The campus is at its maximum for students but still make sit difficult to live off campus.

2 College Junior

Transportation: I have never been one to use public transportation in Alma. There is a shuttle that goes around town but I have never looked up times to see when it is running.

4 College Junior

Majors: The teacher education program is one of the greatest education programs in the area. Getting into the program is fairly easy but you have to work for it

3 College Junior

Majors: I have not had an internship but some students have and they have said they are very helpful. I have had a number of educational classroom placements that have been very helpful in getting classroom practice and ideas for teaching.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Overall Alma is what I expected to get when I came to school here. I expected high academic standards with a helpful teaching staff. The Athletics have a number of great coaches and student athletes.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Girls on campus are generally nice and outgoing you just have to find the right group. There really are groups of girls for everyone.
