3 College Freshman

Diversity: I would say the campus is pretty diverse. Students often share their beliefs. There are a few religious organizations on the campus as well.

2 College Freshman

Transportation: I think students would benefit if there were long distance transportation. But the shuttle for in town transportation is extremely useful. Although I am not sure all of the students know about it.

Facilities: Alma College is one of the greatest colleges in the U.S. The reasons for this is the commitment by its professors, the academic success, beautiful campus, outgoing class mates and involvement in fraternities sororities, and sports. The program Integrated Physiology and Health Sciences is a new field that is definitely being taken advantage of here at Alma College that focused on the human body. Also, if your interested in the sciences, they have a nationally reckognized program funded by the National Science Foundation called PRISM. Freshman can be involved in ASPIRE, which I was involved in and it allowed me to do scientific research before I actually started school.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Alma College is a private school and the base tuition with room and board is very expensive. After scholarships though, I was able to cut tuition to less than half.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: The off-campus housing at Alma College is very limited and upperclassmen are only allowed to stay in them because it is a privileged based.

5 College Freshman

Weather: Alma College is located in the central Michigan and the is always snowing in winter. But, I personally love snow and especially how it makes the beautiful campus look.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: The athletics at Alma College are very successful. The athletic facilities are all brand new and most of the teams are always competing to in the top of the league ranks. Alma College is a division three school and just added sports like lacrosse and wrestling to the possible sports to be involved here.

3 College Freshman

Majors: There's a lot to major in at Alma, considering it is such a small school. But my best friend from high school didn't come here with me because they don't have pre-med.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: Supposedly Greek life is like being part of a whole different community. You get to know so many people and have so much fun.

5 College Freshman

Academics: Biology and the science department in general are very strong at Alma. The work is challenging and the professors are knowledgeable and very helpful. They truly care about their students.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Academics at Alma are the first and only concern for the college. While other aspects of college life suffer, the academics here are second to none.

2 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Alma is a very bland place, very little variation present.

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus housing is available and usually at a reasonable price. However, it does not seem to be worth it to most students.

3 College Freshman

Weather: The campus is so small that weather rarely, if ever, affects how we get around campus. Classes have yet to be cancelled as long as I've been here, but there hasn't been too poor of weather either.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: I love this school, and how many different groups there are to get involved in. The friendliness of the professors is amazing and the personable aspect is also. The campus is beautiful in the fall, but this year they have been doing a lot of construction, which has been taking away the beauty of the landscaping.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: Haven't really experienced that much diversity at Alma college. It's hard when majority of the students are caucasian, but I do know that there has been attempts to diversify the school.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I wish they did offer more scholarships, but they still did have a good amount if you had good grades in high school.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: There is an excellent program for those pursuing the science field. There is also a real human cadaver lab, and an opportunity to go across the globe in the spring. It is very expensive, but if you go for the right reasons, it's totally worth it. It is not a college for everyone, as with any college, but giving it a chance is all I would do if you're debating it.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Bathrooms cleaned on a daily basis at 7:00 AM. Dorm rooms neat and cleaned for each new Fall Semester. RAs helpful and friendly.

5 College Senior

Academics: The professors are kind and helpful. They will know you by name and help you on whatever you need.

5 College Senior

Campus Housing: North campus has community style bathrooms which are kept clean. South Campus has suit style rooms which need a little updating, but have plenty of space.

5 College Senior

Academics: The Chemistry department is awesome. The best part about the college is the ability to research in the field you are interested in.

College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: You can't live off campus, really but there is a lot of good options on campus (i.e. apartments, houses, dorms)

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: The people of Alma are always very nice. I haven't seen a "townie" without a smile on their face.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: They offer you a lot of money. If your in any sort of preforming art you will get a scholarship if you try out.
