Weather: San Diego is known for its mediterranean climate which is ideal for getting around campus. Good weather means less chances of classes and activities canceling and promotes outdoor socialization.

Scholarships: I received a substantial loan amount but no grant or scholarship funding. You are on your own in navigating the site and figuring out what forms you need to submit (basically you have to train yourself). You may make an appointment to speak to a financial aid officer, however, there is a long wait to get an appointment and it is difficult to reach a live person to make that appointment. Phone messages are seldom returned.

Facilities: The building is older, but there are no real issues with the facilities. Everything functions as it should and students do not complain about a lack in this area.

Weather: Sacramento has nice weather for most of the year. Some rain and cold weather, but no snow and the spring and summer are perfect.

Computers: The Sacramento satellite campus is pretty small. There are a few computers in the library, nice sized computer room, for the most part students have their own notebooks or ipads.

Transportation: The Sacramento campus is a small satellite campus, mainly for continuing education students so there is no need for school transportation.

Diversity: AIU is a school that prides itself on cultural diversity and boy do they live up that! There was someone from a different culture in almost all of my classes and I became friends with many people from all over the world.

Facilities: I really liked that the San Diego campus is on a refurbished military base and that they keep it really green! I did not mind parking in the dirt lot :) I did not utilize the cafeteria but I heard from others that it was good. I enjoyed using the library as it was very well light and had comfy chairs for studying!

Facilities: The small class sizes allowed my teachers to focus on all of their students and the evening courses made it very easy to be a working student! I really enjoyed the attention that professors where able to give each student and the classes were relevant to my goals. I am looking to return for graduate work now because I was so pleased and their unique cultural approach prepared me for the real world and got me a great job!
