Online Courses: I personally love online classes, but I feel one of my teachers tended to overcompensate with workload for a class that should be simple because it is online. I have only experienced this with one class and this teacher was absolute over-kill. Other than this sociology class, I havn't had any problems with teachers and the workload was sufficient for the specific class.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid I recieved through AHC was a big help when I was eligible for it and was an extremely simple process. I received BOG a few years and also the Allan Hancock Foundation scholarship which was extremely helpful. Filling out the FAFSA online was easy and saved alot of time and hassel going into the office and filling out paperwork. I feel like I get my moneys worth at AHC as far as registration goes. I think it's fairly priced for the education you receive.

Academic Experience: I have been attending AHC since I graduated high school and wasn't all sure what I wanted to do as a career. After I received my associates degree in liberal arts I decided to keep going and start a career in nursing. I didn't know what this was going to mean for my life at the time, but it changed me as a student. Every class I have taken that has been part of my nursing prerequisites has been a huge challenge. I say challenge in a positive manner...you really have to be on top of your game to successfully get through the sciences leading up to the lvn program. The teachers that I have had for these classes have all been amazing and I have learned so much from each one of them.

Student Body: I would say that my college has an even distribution of students: many new graduate high school students, students that are working on their career field (police academy, nursing, dental, emt, etc.), and many who simply want to add an extra skill to their job or simply taking a class to learn something different. There is a wide diversity of students. For the past 7 years I have been attending, I have always thought the students we have are well accepted, from what I have seen in my classes. Instructors are always accomodating to sexual preference, political, and religious aspects. There are always challenges when it comes to difference of opinion in a public setting, however, I have never seen any dispute that would turn students from wanting to attend their classes or the school as a whole.

Campus Resources: The printing seems to be getting more expensive every year

Campus Resources: The athletics are great. the social life is very inviting also.

Academic Experience: The Social and Behavioral Science Program at AHC is awesome. Dr. Hall and Prof. Bierly are very inspirational teachers who love their subject matter. I am so impressed with their willingness to mentor students who want to have their love of History fostered. A wealth of information. Great Stuff

Campus Resources: Anything that a student needs to accentuate the AHC experience is there. The facilities are good and above average in terms of functionality, but I think they need to be upgraded.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: The computer labs are not only good with online and computer resources, but there is always someone there to help. I am always amazied at how patient the folks in the Academic Resource Center are. Very few problems with networking and always able to get my work done there.

Campus Resources: I feel that the counseling program is incredible. Many of the counselors know the students and are in constant contact with them. I fthe student develops a good working relationship with a counselor, the student will have great benefits. I think that most of the counselors go out of their way for the students.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: I am a Film major and all faculty are knowledgeable about the course they are teaching. There are a variety of courses to choose from and you also get experience with similar major related coursework. The college catalog is clear and registration is easy.

Online Courses: So long as you keep up with the routine of a weekly post and test, you should be fine.

Academic Flexibility: Allan Hancock is real flexible, having on-line classes and I am going to the campus for two other classes. I have not experienced any frustration or hassles attending any of my classes. I do not have any experiences with transferring credits to another college and I doubt I will because I do not plan on transferring. I am happy where I am.

Academic Experience: Attending the Fire Tech classes on line, I find myself wanting more. Allan Hancock College has a great program. I give them an A+. I have no complaints and looking forward to another great semester.

Campus Resources: Hancock as a great resource center that students can use. While having a large amount of computers hardwired to the schools internet service the connection often slows down and fails at times. Printing service is great. Same price as local printer shows to make copies and print work. The school as wireless access all cross the school so it is great if you have a laptop and tablet.

5 College Sophomore

Student Body: The student body is made of working class individuals. Half the students attending Hancock have part time jobs while the rest have full time jobs and have families to support. Its easy to meet some one with the same interest and background as yourself and gain some apect of your studies from different individuals.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The information given by the Finanical Aid office is great. Everything is explained and paperwork can be found for you if you need it.

Academic Experience: Teachers are friendly and it is easy to contact them if needed.

Campus Resources: The campus resources at Allan Hancock couldn't be better. My favorite resource centers at Allan Hancock include the Learning Resource Center, the Financial Aid Office, the Transfer Center, the library, the bookstore. These five resource centers have helped me so much over the years with so many different things such as tutoring, guidance for my future, aid for my classes, renting college texts at affordable prices, and full access to books and new computers. I am so thankful for these wonderful resources!

Student Body: At Allan Hancock, you will find a melting pot of different types people. Through my last four years spent at this college, I have met people of all different financial, social, religious, and ethnic backgrounds. One commonality in which I have found to be shared between all the students I have met is that they are hard working, relentless students. If you were to sit down and talk to any student at Allan Hancock, you would find that they are hardworking, and determined to reach their next goal.

Career Services: I have heard that Allan Hancock's career center is very helpful to the students in which are enrolled in the school. I myself however, have not had the pleasure of interacting directly with the career center, being that I am focusing on transferring to California Polytechnic in the fall.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: This school has a very diverse student body population. Everyone is accepted here, there are no diversity challenges. Typical students that go here are people who are unsure of what major they want yet, or working students who are trying to better a career they already have because they have family. Community college is also affordable for most people compared to 4 year schools.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The school's tuition is very affordable. With a full time load of classes, you would roughly pay about $600 at most. The education value is great in my opinion, definitely worth the money. Financial aid options would probably be FAFSA or the calgrant. You don't need much financial aid to go here. The financial aid office was very helpful.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have enjoyed my over all experience here and I am pleased with instructors. It's just such a shame that so many classes have had to be cut.

2 College Student

Academic Flexibility: There is a decent selection of courses and programs available, but all of them are quite shallow. The Anthropology program has a total of three classes. It becomes very difficult to register for the classes you need to transfer as many students will register for courses and drop halfway through. Most students are here for more than two years.
