5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: There is a large variety of classes offered. Some offered both during the day and night. It's very easy to schedule around work/family.

4 College Junior

Career Services: Although I have not utilized them myself, I've heard good things from classmates/friends.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: My major is early childhood. At school we have a childhood building where you can find jobs within that field. There are a lot of classes for early childhood.

Academic Experience: The registration process for classes can be a little frustrating. About a month or so before classes become available to register they open up the class search. You use the class search to make your schedule but depending on the day of your registration some of those classes you need can already be filled so that makes it so you have to change your schedule.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: My experience at Hancock has been a good one. I have been able to schedule my school around my work schedule. There are a lot of classes to choose from and different times.

5 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I think that the value of the education I am getting is good for what I am paying for. The financial aid office was very informative and helpful whenever I went in there to ask questions. I would tell every student to go to the financial aid office and fill out the BOG fee waiver and your FASFA.

Online Courses: I took one online class and learned that they are not for me. I am a more in the classroom type of student, but the online class had a pretty doable workload. With online classes there is no peer-to-peer interaction, and you teacher/student relationship is all by email.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: There are so many resources on campus that are available to students who want to use them. They are very easy to access.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: We have a great computer lab for students to use for writing and printing papers. our wireless network is always working and fast.

College Senior

Career Services: I haven't used any of these services so I am unable to give it a review.

4 College Senior

Facilities: We have a great transfer rate.

4 College Senior

Student Body: The student body at Allan Hancock College are very diverse. There are a range of students in different areas of study but they are all friendly and outgoing.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: The student body at my school is diverse by many cultures. It is very interesting to see the different type of people in our society.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I do not like the fact that you have to submit a new prior college form to the Financial Aid department at the beginning of every semester. the admin has also lost my and my wife's transcripts once.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: I like online learning as it is scheduled and self motivated and I need that with my full time job.

College Junior

Student Body: My classes are online. The discussion boards allow interactions but very limited.

College Junior

Facilities: I am an online student

2 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I did run into one issue with my Financial Aid form. Every mistake tat I made, I needed tom complete a new form even if it was to add a school to my previous list. Also the previous school listing must be completed every semester, they do not keep the records from year to year.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: I have not used too many of the center on the campus. The testing centers are pretty organized and helpful.

College Junior

Campus Resources: I am an online student.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: My study can be difficult at times, but mainly because it is online classes.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I like the fact that they have degree programs online that help me out a lot in completing my college career.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: It is a great school. Relatable people and nice staff help the transition from community college to a four year university, as smooth as possible.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Again, I am here foe the fire tech program and honestly I couldn't afford a four year university right out of high school. The student body is ok at best. The teachers are mostly great teachers but a lot could be done to improve the school and the stereotypical view that people have of community colleges.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial advisors act as if they want you in and out as quickly as possible. Well reality is that many students here are poor and come from low-income families and don't know how to apply for aid exactly. We need help. That is there job and it is not ok that they don't take the time to actually sit down wit students to help.
