Academic Experience: Class Registration Process – The process of registration is a complete hassle here. the college is going though a change of programs of every kind. i have had to recreate my student profile last winter semester, so its been a job remembering my new profile info.

Campus Resources: Computer Labs – The Allan Hancock College campus has many computer labs where students can go to do their work. The internet works very well and they have internet wireless which is very helpful for students who have a laptop. However, the computer network sometimes has some problems, but not very often which is a good thing.

Career Services: Havent Yet Looked That Far – I havent looked into any programs that help out post grads.

Academic Flexibility: Not So Eaay to Transfer Credit – It has been a hassle as a transfer student to apply all my previous college credit. I have sent 2 previous transcripts and all my classes have not been applied, which has made it difficult for me to apply for classes.

Campus Resources: Informative Staff – I am currently out of state but whenever i have a question they get back to my emails or phone calls as soon as possible.

Career Services: Though, Allan Hancock has a building specifically set for career services over fifty percent of the students would not know where to find it. Teachers do their best to encourage students into specific career; however, the biggest problem is students can not find a subject they are interested in enough to spend the next however many years studying about.

Student Body: For the most part, everyone is white at in there late teens. Statistically the average age at Allan Hancock College is 22 years old. Everyone on campus is either white or Hispanic, creating very little diversity in the student body. However, everyone, even the outliers are accepted. From what I've witnessed their isn't any problems between those that are different from the norm.

Academic Experience: Computer Science Faculty – The faculty is great. Mr. Wagner, the computer science teacher is always encouraging has is the reason the computer science major at Allan Hancock College is as popular as it is. The work load is both challenging and interesting and is adequate for both beginner programmers to advanced. The best part is the range of classes that are offered; lager enough to make any techno geek drool.

Campus Resources: Resources on Campus – Allan Hancock's school resources are GREAT! It is a great campus to hang out at between classes!

Overall Experience: I attend Allan Hancock College in Lompoc and the school is not as great as the Santa Maria one. In lompoc the classes are great; however, the school spirit is very low. There are only a few clubs on campus, the cafeteria is small, and there aren't many activities for the students. Another negative is that the walkins for class recommendations start at 12:30 and by that time it all booked in with just 8 students. The school matto is " Start here go anywhere"; however, how can that be possible if we dont get the chance to meet with an advising counsaler during walk ins.

Online Courses: Online Classes – i wasnt sure at first about taking online classes. when i first took it i thought that it was going to be easy but it kinda wasnt. I was still nervous about tests and got really stressed out. I liked because you didnt have to sit in a classes room for hours. but next semester i am taking them again.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Finanical Aid Is Easy to Dal With at This College. The education i am reseving is well forth the money i am spending. The people that work in the office are nice and help with every question and concern i have. The tuition is the best and afordable if you really want to go to school.

Student Body: All Ethnicities Are Given Their Respect – Appreciation is shown for the diversity in our student body, by the support of the administration in ensuring that typical celebratory days are recognized. And that all student body be allowed a voice in the outdoor area for messages that are peaceful and respectful to all.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Peer to Peer Interaction – The freedom of online is that you can openly state your opinion in a respectful manner with confidence. Where as in a classroom setting at times the immaturity of others may stiffle your voice.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Early Childhood Studies – Excellent communication and expectations given by Instructors Madden and Reagan. There was no question as to what the assigment was, where we suppose to locate it and in what format.
This is something a student really appreciates, especially in a distant learning setting.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: This school works around your schedule and not the other way around. If you work or have kids, there is always a class you can attend. There are also online classes which are convenient

Campus Resources: My school allows you to succeed in what you want to do. Many of the students aren't focused and takes it for granted and they usually end up failing. the school doesn't spoon feed you but it makes everything available for your use and they always keep you informed. I wish there was a football field for the team to use. We have to share with a local high school. Other than that I am pretty satisfied and it is quite impressive for a 2 year college.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Very Easy to Find One – When I need to print or search something online, there is always a computer available. There's no need to use any other computer because the school's are just fine.

Tuition & Financial Aid: A Bit Hard – Even though i am attebding school its been some what hard, when i comes to the paying classes and books aswell, theres not much help for those like myself that need it.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Made the Right Choice – This is unique for me...its not a expensive college and its close to where I live. It give great opportunities to all who want to go somewhere. This is the right choice i made.
