Online Courses: I am more of a hands on learner so I do not prefer online courses. The one I took was ok.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I did not have any issues.I believe the education I received & paid for was well worth it and I am happy with my career today.

Student Body: Alex Tech has many diverse backgrounds of people of all types. Many of the students have different goals and career plans.

Academic Flexibility: Willing to Learn? Alexandria is the perfect school if you can't afford the more expensive universities and other big name colleges. Alexandria has a great group of teachers that do their jobs well and are willing to help a student out in need. If you are will to learn and put in the time you will pass. Alexandria as treated me with respect and created an awesome learning enviroment to get my education.

Campus Resources: Very Helpful – Detailed nice orderly office with clean environment. Good helpful workers and good information available.

Student Body: Mix of High School Graduates and Other Displaced Workers Returning Back Into Education. Essentially excited about the overall feel of the district of Alexandria and the opportunitys that ATC can offer and encourage me to focus on.

Academic Flexibility: Well Directed School – Good direction & layout of school with focus on learning and courtesy along with convience for making it the essential atmosphere for further education for all attendees.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Ability to Earn Required Credits Each Term as Well as Working PT – I have been able to schedule the required courses each term while working around a part-time job and also allowing time for studying/school work. I have not had any issues enrolling in a class and finding that the class was full.

Campus Resources: General Campus Structure – The campus is small, the buildings are all close together. There are two fitness facilities. New on-campus housing facility just opened. Additional housing close to college.

5 College Senior

Student Body: There is a wide range of ethnic backgrounds. There is a wide range of working classes from farm to City lives.

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: There have been issues that I've needed to discuss with Financial Aid and they always get back to me in a timely matter and always able to help me out.

Overall Experience: Instructor's Knowledge – All the instructors have job experience in the field they are teaching. This is a big plus in getting the total picture of the knowledge we will need to know when we graduate and go into the field of Law Enforcement.

Academic Flexibility: Easy Credit Transfer – I will be completing my degree in Human Services in May and will be taking a few extra classes through this institution so that I can meet prerequisite requirements in order to attend another school starting in the Fall of 2013. All of the credits that I earned at this institution that will fit into my next degree plan will transfer without any programs. My favorite thing is that my next school can get my transcript directly from this school and I do not have to worry about getting that transcript to them.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Well Worth the Money – The tuition rates for this school are great. You definitely get what you pay for and the teachers and faculty are extremely nice. I have no had a teacher that I did not like. All of the administration has been extremely helpful and always give you the utmost respect. Filling out financial aid at the school was super easy and receiving aid was even easier. If you have any difficulties, the financial aid office is very eager to help and get you where you need to be.

Career Services: Career Center – I personally have not attempted to use these services yet but have heard from various past grads that you are pretty much on your own.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Convenience of Classes – My class schedule is not flexible whatsoever. I had to arrange my life around my classes. My instructor told us from the beginning that our lives would revolve around this program and everything else had to be prioritized after school. It has been very inconvenient as I have 2 young children. Our last few weeks of class we have to work 10 full shifts at the nursing home, and they may either be from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm or 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm. And, they may not even be in this town, so I may have to drive out of town to a facility to work those shifts at. I'm not sure how the transferring of credits will be but I think it will be better now that they have made the change to technical AND community college instead of just technical.

Overall Experience: College Experience – I have had a good experience so far. My advisor at one point told me she wasn't "very good at advising" when I had asked her a question. My medical clinical instructor was not very pleasant and I actually hid from her at times while on her clinical rotation. Other than that, I have had some really great learning experiences and would recommend Alex Tech to others, although maybe not the practical nursing program in particular.

College Junior

Student Body: Student Mixing Bowl – The students have been good. There are so many ages, ethnicities, religions and economic statuses. It doesnt seem to effect or bother anyone there. Its great that we have diversity as i live in a small area and there are more and more ethinicities coming around which is a good thing.

Campus Resources: I find that all the Instructors are very nice and helpful. Our school offers a wide range of helpful services for students. i was notified of a organizations called SmartStart for single mothers. The give you hrlp with gas to get to class, bus fares, and offer a list of many services around the area. I found this to helpful as I am a single mother trying to make this work and getting this help makes me more determined!!

Online Courses: Easy to Manage – I would rather take online classes, than take them on campus. I am able to manage my time and do my assignments on my own time.
