Health & Safety: The only reason it feels unsafe is because there are not that many sources of lights around the campus and the only way you will see lights is by going toward the cafe to get to your dorm from a night class, which is a long way..

Health & Safety: it has its up and down with the safety but the food in the cafe is very healthy with a salad bar

Health & Safety: It's a good school, the teachers are ALL from my experimce really helpful and willing to go that extra mile for students. The campus can get extremely boring on weekends if no sports are being played, but doing the week its really fun. The down side is some of employees can be rude, unwilling to help, and defensive. They will send you all over the world just to get one question answered. It's hard to get financial aid on the phone, cashier's office is hard to contact. The students and classes are good.

Health & Safety: There has been a recent slew of thefts mostly relating to carelessness, but campus security is minimal. There are gaurds at the gate but dont expect them to prevent too many tresspassers

Health & Safety: Police and Safety Services – Alcorn police services are good. They are always on duty and they respond to calls swiftly. There is not really danger that goes on at Alcorn to indicate safety issues. I feel safe and secure at Alcorn because all the students are friendly, and no one wants to call any problems. Alcorn State University is about higher learning and the students who are enrolled there are focused only on that.
