Drug Safety: is bad and still going

1 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Anybody who wants to smoke marijuana has the ability. Anybody who wants to drink alcohol has the ability as well. It is too easy for drugs and alcohol to be used and abused. People sit outside on the benches or in the parking lot and drink and smoke as they please. It is very frustrating to me, as a person who neither does drugs or drinks alcohol. The police officers do nothing to really enforce the rules, they only occasionally decide to show off their limited power and detain those who use alcohol and drugs. Peer pressure is inevitable at every school, but at Alcorn it is almost expected for one to participate in the drug scene. It is utterly ridiculous.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: It is pretty obvious that people use drugs on campus. It's mainly at parties or when people are just hanging out. There are not really rules for drug use on campus, but you can be punished and even taken to jail for drug use at any school function or in any building on campus (including dorms). No one cares if you step outside to smoke or if you come in drunk from a party.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Drugs are not a bad problem at Alcorn State University. The few that do smoke do not hide it and are not often punished for doing so, drinking however is a popular activity and remnants are left in the parking lots.
