Off-Campus Dining: The off-campus dining is not very diverse nor is it very healthy, but the few places we do have do serve good food for affordable prices, and the places do stay open pretty late.

Off-Campus Dining: many time when the cafe be close and i be hungry i be glad that we have off campus dining great food and stay open real late

4 College Freshman

Weather: we have had some good weather on campus not really to hot or to cold perfect weather i love it

2 College Freshman

Transportation: it is best to bring a bike for some reason it would be better with transportation.

5 College Freshman

Academics: we offer many scholarship to academic students those with high GPA and ACT

5 College Freshman

Academics: The Academic is what make this school one of the best HBCU in Mississippi. Top school with academics.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: The sports and band is a major deal on campus and is really supported by the school.

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: Financial was really a hassle and a headache and if you dont do it on time it will get even worse had a hard time my freshman year but its trying to get better

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: it has its up and down with the safety but the food in the cafe is very healthy with a salad bar

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: We have great food and plenty of options some day there are little to no choices but other than that a great variety

5 College Junior

Academics: I love my department. I am a computer science major and all my professors make an effort to form a relationship with me. There hasn't been a teacher I didn't like. They saw more in me than I originally did and push me.

4 College Junior

Academics: I'm a fast paced guy wrapped in technology. The academics here are easy to follow and the professors know what they are talking about. The workload is enough if you have good time management but most courses help you with the next.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: You find everyone at Alcorn. As small as the school might be, you meet a lot of people who are out of state. Every Wednesday its like the majority of the school dresses in their best business suits, its quite a show.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: They should give more time during the registration process or have volunteers helping out. Trying to find out what I'm missing from my FAFSA but having to wait delays other things I need to do.

3 College Junior

Weather: you never know what to expect, its always best to just be prepared.

College Student

Local Atmosphere: this is my first year here, and Im just getting started

3 College Junior

Weather: It's usually pretty out, but this is MS and you never know when an evening shower can pop up or when it's going to be humid and muggy.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: It was very easy, but next time I will get it done sooner.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Everywhere I have been on campus so far was nice, organized, and welcoming.

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Financial Aid is somewhat tedious but when everything is settled, you will gave the money you need to pay for school. my tips are that each worker should relax and take there time. Howevere, if you dont get approved for Financial Aid, Alcorn have a variety of different types of scholarships for students. They are called ASU Foundation Shcolarships and are offered to students who attend Alcorn State University. There are scholarships that are offered to Latino and African American, student who want to be an engineer, doctors or lawyers. There is even a book scholarship for students also.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Throughout the day, you would see different types of athletics roaming the campus. Either they are going to practice or they are coming from practice. Sometimes they are hanging out, doing what they do best which is perfecting their sport in every way possible. Football players would get together after practice and simply play a game of football. Basketball, Softball, Baseball, and Volleyball players do the same also. Often you would see the band members practicing and Track and Field are on the track getting ready for track season.

3 College Senior

Guys & Girls: Everybody is laid back, you half half the campus dressing up all the time, another half that dress down in sweats and t shirts. Everyone is their own individual.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: It's a good school, the teachers are ALL from my experimce really helpful and willing to go that extra mile for students. The campus can get extremely boring on weekends if no sports are being played, but doing the week its really fun. The down side is some of employees can be rude, unwilling to help, and defensive. They will send you all over the world just to get one question answered. It's hard to get financial aid on the phone, cashier's office is hard to contact. The students and classes are good.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: The classes are great, not a heavy workload. Professors answers questions to work that you don't understand. Also, classes are small.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: There aren't many scholarships a student can apply for. Scholarships are mostly available to athletes and band members.
